Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Hello!:typing
Can anyone out there tell me what are the usual commencement dates for a bridging program? I heard that Ramsay has theirs in August and November. In WA, intakes are available February and August. Hollywood Private Hospital has January and September.
If anyone of you guys and gals ever land there, kindly pass the info? This is very important so we won't waste a lot of time and money. For example, if you have been granted a visa in November, you will have to wait about 7 months if you have applied in Ramsay; a month for Hollywood; 2 months in WA; 3 months in Victoria; and so on. The 456 visa is good for three months only.
Thanks.
How about accomodation? I do not know anybody in Australia...no friends no family. So I am half excited and half scared by the prospect of going there even though I do not know where to stay.
To those who have finished the Part B Clinical Placement, how were you able to find accomodations?
Thanks! I hope to share some good news with you guys, very soon.
Hi Farah, How long did it took you to receive your positive assessment from NBV? From the time you lodge your application up to the time you got your assessment. I submitted my docs to QNC since November 2008, but i have not receive positive assessment notification up to now.I also submitted my docs to NBV last friday.:nuke:
Hi Izay, I submitted my Application Form May 8, received a reply from them that I lack the PRC document after 3 weeks. I submitted my PRC Cert and my amended Application Form last June 15 and they received it June 22...... I receive my Eligibility Letter July 20, though the letter is dated July 3.
So far, that's what happened to me....
As long as your docs are complete, I think you will get an assessment soon....
Goodluck on your application....:wink2:
Hi Farah, Thanks for the Info. That is a fast one. Your docs must be impressive Are you a regular 4year degree RN or a Second courser? How long is your work experience as RN?
What do you mean by amended Application form? can you please elaborate? I hope you dont mind me asking too much questions :wink2: Good luck on your IELTS. I'm also planning to retake my IELTS soon.
How's your IELTS? you took it last July 23, right? Hope you could make it this time...GOODLUCK:wink2:
hey farah...i didn't take last july 23 because i thought it was last week of july so i missed out on the 2 week lead-time for registration ...i'll be taking it in august...
i called up NBV today and they said that my application is already with their manager and that they apologize for the inconvenience but they are really overwhelmed with a lot of application. She also clarified with me that i don't need to pass my IELTS results in order to be assessed. it is just needed upon taking the bridge program...
anyhow, she also told me to just wait for it by post...
I hope i can still make it to the deakin application deadline on first week of Sept.

Thats nice to hear then, at least you know that your application is really being processed by NBV....
just focus on IELTS review (esp in writing) so that you can hit the target...7.
Goodluck and hope you can make it on Deakin.... and we can all make it in BP
