I'm just starting as well. I'm studying Transitions right now. Anyone have any advice for us? Thanks!!!

I pretty much just started too. I have taken transitions, and am taking the health safety exam this sat.

I'm testing for transitions next week, my first of 7. I'm using SG101, based on previous posts I've seen here. I got a 62 or 63 on my first EC practice exam before studying. I plan on taking the next one this weekend. Wishing you goodluck.

Transitions wasnt too bad, alot of history of nursing. I think I got high 60's on both practice exams and passed with a C. Not the best grade, but passing is still passing.

Here's kind of a strange question...I know everyone is different, but how long did you study for each of the exams? I know they give you a breakdown of how much you should study each section, but sometimes enough is enough. I also checked out the SG101 website. Are their study guides pretty good? I need to get rolling on this...I just got my books yesterday for Transitions...I think if I take one exam and do well, I'll be off and running....:o

I have taken 8-10 cleps and dsst exams since February. I went from having 4 credits to 60 from Feb-May on just testing out. For each test I studied for 2 weeks, some much less. For my microbiology, I studied on and off for 3 weeks and passed with a B. I plan on studying about 2 weeks for each of the nursing exams. But my work schedule is a little different than others as I only work 2-3 days a week. I understand some tests are going to require more study but I'm hoping I can play off my recent LPN education which was very intensive. I graduated from LPN school in July 2010 and have been working in LTC since then, so I am hoping the knowledge is still in there somewhere.

I know CLep/Dsst's are much easier than the nursing exams but at least with the nursing exams, I have a interest in them and can relate to it. Sociology and Psychology were horrible to study for because I had no interest in it and I passed both of those with a little study. Microbiology was fun and interesting and I made a B.

Hi... that is really impressive! Would you be so kind as to list the CLEP and DSST exams you have taken? I have 43 total credits, still need a few more pre reqs (Eng101, Psych220 and Micro) before I can take any of the Nursing Exams.

It might be beneficial for me to start accumulating more credits, too... looking ahead to a possible degree.

Thanks! :)

Nervous1, That's impressive!! I can't believe that's all the time you put into studying for them, too. I guess I need to get my butt in gear! I'm starting out with a couple of nursing exams, then I'm going to switch gears and do a couple of the gen ed classes. That stuff is SO boring. I keep hoping if I start with the nursing (something I can relate to) then it'll motivate me to do the gen ed requirements out of the way.

And another question, too... What exactly is Saunders? I saw a post about it before but I can't find it!! :)Thanks!!!!

would like to have a study partner. where r u located?
