I just checked my CPNE application on excelsior.com and the now scheduled me for March 28th @ St. Lukes! I had just gotten a packet last week to test February 29th at. St. Joseph's. I'm just about through the study guide. I wanted to read it all first and then start memorizing those critical elements! Anyone know how they are at St. Lukes? Thanks!

I'm confused, did you want to be rescheduled?
Yes, I had declined the first date. I had called to see if they had anything around the end of march to give me another month to prepare. They had some slots open at St. Lukes the last week in March so I faxed my decline of the first date and found out this morning they gave me one of the slots the end of March which I was hoping for.

all this talk about the cpne is starting to scare me...
LOL @ txspade
@ aegirl, ow long ago did you become CPNE eligible, and apply? Also were the first or second dates cancellations?

I became eligible the middle of October and applied right away. I got my date last week for 2/29 but declined the date which I believe was a cancellation and the one I have now for 3/28 was a cancellation.
I was also informed that they are now into April-June for CPNE dates, guess it just depends on the site. Thought that might be of interest. You may want to call them if you are looking for a sooner test date. They might be able to get you a cancellation. I thought they had said there were 3 slots open for the site and weekend I will be testing at when I had called them last week.

Holy crap, that seems really quick to me ... I applied only about 3 weeks after you did! Yikes!! Although according to the MPAC office, I probably won't even HEAR anything until March (this is what I was told yesterday when I called them about updating my TB with a new TB). Which is fine with me, truly!
Oh, but let me focus on YOU for a moment ... LOL! Sorry ... I'm a spaz. CONGRATS!!!! That is awesome! I know you'll kick some butt.
Thanks Lunah! I hope I kick butt when the time comes! You may be getting a date soon enough! :) I applied to every test site in NY though, lol. Since I live in PA, I'm able to drive up. They are all pretty much about the same distance for me, so that might have helped with getting a sooner date as well as saying i'd take a cancellation date, which probably really helped. I actually just finished reading through the study guide, so now it's really time to get studying and memorize and learn everything. March 28th will be here before I know it! I don't know if that's good or bad! I still have to take my a&p exam as well, so i've been studying for that, it just doesn't seem to sink in. I did schedule the exam for 1/19 though. I want to get it over with! I got into lazy mode after finishing all my NC exams!
what ....this means you would have a 5 month wait for a cpne date. didnt you apply in nov

That's good to hear - I'll be testing in Albany, as well, and finished the app the end of December. So I'll get the date the end of February.
Good to know!
And I'll be testing in April or May. probably. EXcellent.
And good luck to you, aegirl!
