Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
Thanks! Really appreciate it! I am curious, can anyone tell me how they pay? Is it a monthly payment to you or a lump sum? How does it work?
If you are awarded, they give you a worksheet that outlines your loans and the total amount of your award, minus federal taxes. What's left is then divided into 24 monthly payments, which is deposited directly into your bank account each month.
I am trying my hardest not to panic, but my application still says 'submitted.' I'm 180%/14, so I don't get it. I've called twice & all I'm told is that they can't see anything that I don't see on the page & that I have until 10/31 to hear back. When I mentioned that other people are being awarded & how can they award without reviewing every applicant, they say they don't know. I just keep thinking maybe I didn't submit something correctly or forgot something...ahhhhhh

If there is anything we know, its that there is no rhyme or reason to the process.
