  1. I, too am disappointed about not getting the grant for my loans. The last time I looked into the state program, the nhsc, it appeared as though you had to be 3 months within hire date to qualify, any body else know anything about these programs.
  2. Thanks! Really appreciate it! I am curious, can anyone tell me how they pay? Is it a monthly payment to you or a lump sum? How does it work?
  3. Hello all! I thank God for this thread; my anxiety has been high lately as I see that everyone else has the same issues that I do and that is that the waiting is killing me. I sent an e-mail about a week ago and they responded by saying that all who actually got the grant would know by the end of sept. My application has been under review status for a long time, probably 6 months or more but has never graduated beyond that. That being said as many of you have already stated, they keep telling us all something different every time we contact them. I have called four times in the past and got 4 different answers. I, too am still hopeful, that it will be till the end of October. Hopefully as soon as someone gets their turn down letter they will post here so we know when to watch for those as well. Pretty sure no turn down letters go out till all awards are made. Good luck to all who are still waiting and congrags to all who have been awarded. This is my first year and although I don't owe quite as much as some of you I drive 1.25 hrs each way to an underserved area to deliver care and am probably spending 10k a year at least in expenses. I fear I may have to stop doing this if I do not receive grant.
