Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

I finally got my email and award letter, but the amount is off by like $25,000 less than it should be. Not sure what that means as all my loans should have been eligible. I tried calling and was told I needed to send an email. This is so strange because if that was what was owed my DTI would only be at 75% instead of 124%. Was anyone else's loan amounts off as well. On my worksheet, its showing one of the loans at $0 and I know that is incorrect.

* Wow, I think I figured it out and I really hope they fix it. Looks like some of my loans have been transferred. I can't even get a payoff amount on any of my direct loans right now. Guess I should be receiving something shortly saying they transferred my servicer. You would think that NERLP would have double checked that my amounts were so different. I know they don't think I paid that amount off between February and now. LOL

My coworker had something simular happen.. They told her when she signed the contract with the original email that it was a done deal and there was nothing she could do.... They ask her to reaply after her award was over... So i hope that they will be able to do something..

Does anyone else have a "recent verification" with no information on their portal under award date and available for service? I don't know if I'm missing something. Thank you. Got my fingers crossed for all those still waiting!!!

I see what your talking about.. Mine is blank as well. I dont think its anything to worry about.. After we do our employment verifications in 6 months that date will pop in there.

Hi!

I have just checked the site, and there isn't even a place on which to log on.....

Year 4. So far, no luck. If the loan to ratio really means anything, I am 100% yearly income:loan. If I could allocate all my income to my loans for a year, I could pay them off. But, alas, the bank wants me to pay for my house, car, food, clothes, gas, electric, water, and all those other trrivialities. : )

Good luck to all. I think we could all use a bit of help with this.

Anyone else in government where there have been no raises for years, yet the cost of everything continues to increase?

Can you share if there is a link to the page on which to log on? I have gone to the NELRP site, but there isn't a place there..... Will try to see if there is a link in the reminder that was sent last year, but, that may take some time, and a link may be a quicker route.

I SO don't want to do the whole application process again! Mind boggling and discouraging to see how much I owe!

Oh, my Goodness. Totally nevermind. I found it. No more teaching 8.5 hours of classes on one day anymore.

At present, it only says "submitted." What does THAT mean? I fear another year of applying. (tears.)

I can just make all the number of what I owe bigger!

I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't received any notification yet. Have you called the help line? You should just get it on the fact that you have waited so long!!! Good Luck!!!

I would call the help line tomorrow. Maybe you will get a kind rep who will give you some information. I am praying for you and for all who wait for signatures and emails and for status changes. It is not over yet! Remember that. Dont give up

I tried to look at mine but I don't know where you are talking about???? Mine just says in service....I'm sure it is nothing to worry about!!
