NELRP is there a thread?

Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

I am really disappointed for my sake after reading all of these threads. This is my second time applying. I applied last year with 2 of my coworkers which both of them received it last year. I did not think that people would even start receiving money yet before the end of the deadline. I wish they would notify you once they decide on your application because the waiting is awful. My application says that it is submitted. I called the help desk and they say it is in review and once there is a decision made it will say reviewed. Does anyone know if people have been notified that they did not receive it?
DeDeRN1 do not give up hope. Are you RN, NP or faculty? WHat Tier and what is your D/I ratio? They have had trouble changing people's status as you may have read in other postings on this thread. The deadline has been extended so the show is not over yet!

CTW61 I am a CRNA. I do not know what tier I am in but my D/I is 135%. I work for a DSH.

Are CRNA in RN group or NP?

I think the RN group

Thanks for all the positive thoughts :) Keep your chin up everyone!!! Like I said previously, it took me applying multiple times over the years before I finally got acknowledged. I got my email today with my congratulatory letter and worksheet.....I am still reeling that it really happened!! I have never known anyone at my facility who has gotten it , but I had heard rumors in the past. The amount of taxes though took me by surprise, as it is quite sizable !!

I look forward to reading more good news out there and I am sending positive thoughts out to everyone!!!

I finally got my email and award letter, but the amount is off by like $25,000 less than it should be. Not sure what that means as all my loans should have been eligible. I tried calling and was told I needed to send an email. This is so strange because if that was what was owed my DTI would only be at 75% instead of 124%. Was anyone else's loan amounts off as well. On my worksheet, its showing one of the loans at $0 and I know that is incorrect.

* Wow, I think I figured it out and I really hope they fix it. Looks like some of my loans have been transferred. I can't even get a payoff amount on any of my direct loans right now. Guess I should be receiving something shortly saying they transferred my servicer. You would think that NERLP would have double checked that my amounts were so different. I know they don't think I paid that amount off between February and now. LOL

Anyone an RN at a DSH with a >150% debt to income ratio still waiting for ANY kind of response?

Me... My app hadn't been touched

Addy,

I'm sorry to hear that things don't look good for your reimbursement. But I would keep watching the program. It did change alot this year, and you nevver know what other changes could happen. Plus look for loan repayment prgrams in your state. Hopefully you won't be on a Ramen noodle budget for much longer. Plus, this still is over, until its over.

Congrats to all who got new signatures and emails this week. Prayers for those still waiting.

Checked the site today couldn't login under applicant so I tried participant and it went through. Woohoo! I got my email about half an hour later. So excited, but a little disappointed by the amount they take out for taxes. However, I am extremely grateful! for the program:)

Still praying for more emails and signatures this week.Keep the faith!
