NELRP is there a thread?
I finally got my email and award letter, but the amount is off by like $25,000 less than it should be. Not sure what that means as all my loans should have been eligible. I tried calling and was told I needed to send an email. This is so strange because if that was what was owed my DTI would only be at 75% instead of 124%. Was anyone else's loan amounts off as well. On my worksheet, its showing one of the loans at $0 and I know that is incorrect. * Wow, I think I figured it out and I really hope they fix it. Looks like some of my loans have been transferred. I can't even get a payoff amount on any of my direct loans right now. Guess I should be receiving something shortly saying they transferred my servicer. You would think that NERLP would have double checked that my amounts were so different. I know they don't think I paid that amount off between February and now. LOL

Got my second signature electronicially today as well. First email was on 9/6. Guess now I can finally relax a little bit. LOL

Ecstatic to say I FINALLY got the email. Wow, 5th times the charm. LOL. Hoping this actually goes through, but I'm super excited to have gotten this far. So thankful I can hopefully stop applying every damn year. At least this time it was much easier than trying to fax 30+ pages. I just bought a house in June, so IF this truly happens it would be lovely to apply some of my current loan payment towards making my new home nicer at least for a few months. This would definitely be a godsend and make my life so much easier. For the curious.... ratio of 124%, tier 1, 19, RN.

Well, I'm guessing I'm out of the running since no email yet. Sucks again, Guess next year will be the charm. I've applied every year since 2007 except one. I'm tier 1, 124% ratio. Not gonna stress, but it would have been nice to be able to pay off my loans before my children graduate and I have to pay for their educations as well. LOL. I am #10566. I thought my odds would be getting better this year, but apparently its much worse since previous years were only about 6-7000 apps.

No, I work in the OR. But very few of the hospitals in my area have inpatient mental health assistance. Generally, if you have any mental health problems you go to the ER and then are transferred out to another facility for help. I worked on a MedSurg floor for 4 years previous to this position. I also did a stint in a GYN clinic and I saw far more mental health problems there than I ever did on the floor. LOL

I think it still applies. BTW, I'm in Baltimore City, definitely NOT rural and we have underserved mental health population. My score is 19 and I too have ....No, Yes, No, Yes. Not holding my breath on getting this, but it would be nice.

Don't know if anyone knows the answer to this, but maybe one of you have asked this when calling the HRSA before. I'm in MD, btw. Wondering how they judge preferences by debt ratios. Is there an allotted number of awards per state, or is it just highest debt ratios? They don't really mention any limitation on the number of awards per state, but I would think they would have to make it fair so that everyone has a chance. Otherwise, RNs in lower paying states would get more of the awards since their ratios would be higher most often.

I just got mine today and I applied at the deadline and my last name begins with Z. So, they are definitely coming to the end of the list either way.

I also have applied at least 4 previous times. Skipped applying (too much work at that time) last year, but I work at a DSH and I only got far in 2010 when they actually checked my credit report. This was also for a 2nd round I'm guessing since it was in early September 2010. Unfortunately, I was only at about 95% ratio at that time. I have since obtained my BSN and slightly more debt but my ratio is now 124% so I'm hoping that my odds are better. The application was also much easier this year. Faxing in 30+ pages of documents was not fun (I procrastinated). Either way, I'm staying at my hospital since they contribute 3K to my loans each year, but this would be a nice bonus since I have a child starting college in another year that I will be paying for. BTW, I'm tier I, and I also have not have credit check or EPL yet, but my app was sent in very close to deadline. I do know an ex coworker that now works at a VA hospital that got this last year tho. I was beginning to think it was impossible to get in my area.
