Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
I think my debt to income ratio is just about the same - and I'm at a DSH - and work with others who I know get the award (including some who honestly admit to not 'needing' it, but 'having it is nice!'). It is income based, but I'm not sure what else they go off of.
Have they done a credit check or anything on you? (I think you can check by going into your submitted application). They haven't touched my account other than it being 'submitted', and I honestly cant remember when they did that, it was so long ago. I wonder if my applying three days before cut off date has something to do with it....My last name is towards the end of the alphabet and my application number is somewhere in the 10000 range.
PedsCV and Addy- don't despair! It is not over yet!y number was in 3000's and my co-worker who has number in 60's. I submitted a few days ahead, she submitted last hour. There is little apparent rhyme or reason to those on outside. I have gotten emails, she is still submitted with 200% debt ratio. They will review everyone - all 10,100! Be patient.it is horrible waiting. I'm still saying prayers for everyone.
AddyRN, what tier level are you in? Have others in your facility gotten emails? I am just curious because I know you have been waiting a while, is it possible to be at a DSH and still in a lower tier? I know I work in a DSH (but am an NP), but our primary care score actually went down to zero, the only reason I was still okay was that our mental health score was 16.

Yeah I agree, my DSH score was 18, no mental health score, also I am an NP and this is the first year that a specific percentage was allocated to us. What a blessing
I do know we're tier 1, but unsure of the score? We're the only level I trauma center in Southern Arizona so I know we get federal funding for Medicaid. We are also the only hospital to provide care for those on the native-american reservations in the area. How do I find out what our "score" is?
