Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?

When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.

Still waiting on the first email for my wife's application....and I am starting to think that it isn't coming. It would be nice if they just released them on one day unless of slowly letting them trickle out.

It no doubt is a terrible process. I wouldnt give up hope till the end of the month.. Then im afraid, its over.. October will be used to notify those who were not awarded

I have heard of people finding out up to the very last day. I had to apply twice before I got chosen. Some people more than that so just be hopeful and wait to see what happens.

Yes, the wait is difficu;t. And there are quite a few of us that have applied multiple years. So don't give up even if it's not this year.

No final email but the BCRS portal changed today! I updated everything as a participant!

Why not consolidate into a direct loan, then you only have one payment any way. And you can start the clock on loan forgiveness in the event you don't get them all paid off in 10 years, or the new bill goes thru and lowers the forgiveness wait time to 5 years.

I have tried to consolidate them in the past and could not find anyone to consolidate them with. Any ideas on who to use?

I have all but given up on getting accepted - the only thing perking my interest is the downtime that is scheduled for tomorrow night. Perhaps they will be using the time to upload a LARGE number of awards and sending out emails????!! Maybe...??

I still log into the portal and am taken to the screen where you have to 'activate' your account (under participant) - but it cannot find my record. At first I thought this was a good sign, but I called and was told (in a not so nice way...) that I logged in under participant and should only be logging in under applicant. (So...I tried my luck, I'll be honest!). Ever since then, (even though my application still says 'submitted') it takes me there.... Maybe thats something..maybe its not.

Yes Chro- saw award letter and worksheet.

And others --- don't give up!!! I think the outage must be so they can upload and send out more emails. Keep the faith!
