Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!
Thanks!
Congratulations to all that have gotten their letter!!
NERLP Help: What a gift that you are on here! One question - yesterday the mail came while i was at work (it hadn't come for 2 days) and I called home and asked my son about it. He said yes it came and there was several letters addressed to me - in addition the mail from the day before had arrived bundled in a rubberband.
When I got home - I couldn't find the mail, and my son could not remember where he put it!!! Ive torn the house apart - no mail. My question is - on the off chance that a letter came - is there anything time sensitive that I have to return. I called NELRP and they wouldn't tell me anything - they just said to wait until Sept. 30th. I am worried that 'if' something did come I will miss a deadline.
PS: My son is mortified and very apologetic.
Lastly - I am thrilled for all of you that were awarded so far. This is such a great profession and I sincerely hope the award gives all of you some well deserved breathing room!
The letter contains: a letter from 'The Boss' (who loves to hear about the positive things this program does for your lives and communities BTW), the executed contract, Your PAW (what, how much and the dreaded taxes withheld) and a 'Fact Sheet'. Nothing for you to do other than go to work, make a difference, and wait another month for your first deposit!!
And another BTW - all of your comments on my value here are warmly recognized and appreciated - thank you for them, but it is all of you that do what you do and make life better for the sick and needy. Kudos belong with you, not me!!
Gee the last time I heard 'best wake up call ever' it was not a silly letter. But I guess guys think differently!
I will be around and checking in this weekend (as long as we have a roof and power), so hit me up if I can help. I am actually more comfortable woking some of these issues and questions from home.
And if I don't respond - send a roofer!!
Lastly - I am way behind on 8/29 start date letters. Bear with me, PM me and most of all - be reasonably prepared if I can't always have good news.
Happy Weekend to All! Though I guess this doesn't necessarily ring true for many nurses!
I sent my NELRP application via fax on the first day. I truthfully do not know if they received all of my paperwork or not. Are they willing to help if you call the 800 number in validating my application. I do remember following a link to fill out all of my bank information, but the date was so long ago I cannot remember if I received an email with instructions. This is the first grant that I have applied for and have learned most of my lessons the hard way.

I'm not sure if your pm's went through or not. If you posted them after you had 15 posts and prior to the post deletions, they should've gone through. You can receive pm's even without the 15 posts. And you only have 3 posts to go before you will be able to send pm's. You should be able to do that without much difficulty since there are so many different threads and forums to visit and give meaningful input.
