I want to relocate from NYC TO somewhere around palm beach. I just really need to know how much nurses get paid around there. Any info will be helpful. Thanks

This might help you out along with any responses you get:
http://data.bls.gov:8080/oes/search.jsp?data_tool=OES
Click "One occupation for multiple geographical areas"
Under "Healthcare Practitioner and Technical Occupations" select Registered Nurse - it's just a bit above halfway
thanks, it says that in boca raton is about $30.50 hr, I am not sure how true that is..

depends on your experience and the level of care.
i was hired as a nurse intern in sofla and started at $22.
would you mind me asking how much you get paid now?

For SoFla sounds about right. West Palm Beach County should be a little higher in the tricounty area (Miami-Dade or Broward County.) Pay down here is a little on the low end. Depends on what speciality you are, and years exp, what shift you want, weekends, etc...
$24. something. idk. the raises are really weird now. i work nights so i get differentials and when i work weekends i get even more diff. on a weekend night i'll make about $33ish.
and yeah, i agree with the post above mine. broward/miami get paid less than the swanky palm beach county :) lol

Don't forget to consider cost of living in Florida vs NYC.
I get paid $33hr night shift as a NICU RN with 1 yr of experience and i dont get weekend differencial, which sucks.

Depending on the experience and specialty, I am not sure about that.
Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are big cities, and have Level 1 Traumas centers. There are several LARGE hospitals and I know many many nurses, who start at $60,000 and go up to $100,000.00
I think you'd better do some homework.

i work at a level 1 trauma and the starting rate is $23 straight out of school. the nurses i know that are making $40+ an hour have been nurses for quite a while. we really don't get paid much to start in south florida, compared to other big cities. however, if you have experience, like i said earlier, of course your starting pay will be higher.
oh and the cost of living out here is kinda high @ bill. just a little less than it was back when i lived in nyc.
