Need Help About CA Pass Letter Urgent

i need detailed answers regarding on how to request for the Ca pass letter (the one with my pearsonvue photo on it, also called candidate report) .. i haven't go much time really so i have to make actions soon so please help..

is it $60 check + Formal letter Request which i have to send by mail?

remember any documents involving education assessment required have to come from the original body providing the service. Ie ces report must be sent direct from cgfns.

hi silver dragon do you know how long will it take for california bon to send a copy of your candidate report after you requested it . Approximate time .?:)

Hi! I'm just curious. Does this Candidate Report have a validity? Thanks so much for this info. In a few months' time, I will also be requesting a Candidate Report from CA BRN to have my result transferred to Vermont State Board and this is one of their requirements - CR with Pearson Vue photo on it.

How long did you wait for the CR from CA BRN?

Candidate Report does not have expiration date. Mine took 2 week to receive it.

hi nurse dandy do you have idea why the u.s visa bulletin priority date is going backwards from may 2005 to 2003 ?

Because the US is having a recession and the demand for visas far outweighs visas allocated. At the end of the day the US has to look after their own citizens first and they should have priority over jobs and if you look at state forums and the general nursing forum you will see many threads where nurses are struggling to find work or that there are lay-offs in the hospitals they are working in. The employer still has to prove that they can not find a USC or PR to employ and with many nurses out of work they will find it hard to prove this

hi mabellegamino, oh, it's you again.. im planning to send my request for the candidate report by regular mail because that what most people i asked did... but if you want it through fedex i think you can do so but, i think you should use the BRN's Physical address, not the mailing address.

I know that you got that idea of the photocopies of documents can be used in applying to VT, from fruity's thread right? but i still go with original/authenticated copies if i were you. i think jbc gave you the link for the Nclex passer application from VTprofessional site. you might wanna check that out, since your CA application will expire soon. i suggest you start early, although fruity got VT license in 1 month, i think you should give a time allowance, just in case... :)

e. retrogresson of the worldwide, mexico, and philippines employment third preference cut-off dates for april

despite the established cut-off date having been held for the past five months in an effort to keep demand within the average monthly usage targets, the amount of demand being received from citizenship and immigration services (cis) offices for adjustment of status cases remains extremely high. therefore, it has been necessary to retrogress the april cut-off dates in an attempt to hold demand within the fy-2009 annual limit. since over 60 percent of the worldwide and philippines employment third preference cis demand received this year has been for applicants with priority dates prior to january 1, 2004, the cut-off date has been retrogressed to 01mar03 to help ensure that the amount of future demand is significantly reduced. as indicated in the last sentence of item a, paragraph 1, of this bulletin, this cut-off date will be applied immediately. it should also be noted that further retrogression or "unavailability" at any time cannot be ruled out.

it has also been necessary to retrogress the employment third preference other worker cut-off date for all countries in order to hold the issuance level within the annual limit.

hi anyone who knows if the CAL BOARD sends an email notification if they already sent the candidate report if you request for ? i sent my request last march 18, ill they notify me through email or not? :)

hi for those who wants to know if the california board gives an extension for your file ,Yes they do give an extension. they gave me another year .they sent me an email and said that i should save the email message as proof of extension.:)

I think the big question is how far will Cali BRN go in extending our files hehehe Will they allow us to extend year after year until we finally get our immigrant visas? Hope they will :rolleyes:

Just curious... Has anyone here ever requested for an extension for the 3rd or more time?

to nursedandy: thank you very much for the info. i know now that the $60 is for the verification of license fees, not for the test results.. i read from other threads that it was $60 so i got confused. i also read that some of them payed $10 and received another notification letter:( so thanks again for confirming that it is indeed the candidate report. can i request multiple copies of it? in my request letter i asked for 2 copies with $20 check.. thanks!

just write a letter of request to the board together with the us postal money order.:nuke:
