  1. Hi there! I got this info from the BRN application: Mailing Address: Board of Registered Nursing P.O. Box 944210 Sacramento, CA 94244-2100 Street Address for overnight or in-person delivery: Board of Registered Nursing 1747 North Market Blvd., Suite 150 Sacramento, CA 95834 Since it is a P.O. box address, the only way to send in your documents is through the Post Office either registered or express mail - due to the fact that it can be tracked I have tried many times sending documents through Phil Post - registered / express to the US and somehow they all got delivered to the addressee hehehe Don't worry much about sending mails into the US 'cause their postal service is quite efficient as far as I'm concerned. Good luck there
  2. Thank you so much! Btw, one more question. When you request for EDAS from CGFNS, is there still the need to submit some forms/documents to them or they (CGFNS) just make use of the stored TOR/School credentials that were submitted to them before for VisaScreen purposes?
  3. Hi I just have a question re the use of EDAS from CGFNS in lieu of requesting TOR from the school. I'd like to know how you went about it. Did you just request EDAS from CGFNS and have them submit to Cali BRN? How about the Request for Transcript and BREAKDOWN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL NURSING PROGRAMS forms from Cali BRN, is there a need to send those forms to CGFNS as well? Thank you in advance guys!
  4. I am in the process of obtaining my immigrant visa; will be having my interview for that soon, so I'm almost there =) Is there ever a way of knowing if the Cali BRN ever received the verification request? I sent it last December 2014 and never got an acknowledgement of receipt. Btw, thanks for the reply =)
  5. Hello there! I just need information as to how long it usually takes for the Cali BRN to send verification of licensure/NCLEX to another state. My initial state licensure is California but found employment in Florida hence the need for the verification of my NCLEX (since I don't have my SSN yet) to the latter state. Any idea? Would be better to know from someone with experience on this. According to their website Board of Registered Nursing - Verification of Licensure, "Please allow at least 6 to 8 weeks for processing" and "Follow up with the other board of nursing within 3 months to ensure that they have received the verification" I mean does it really take that long? Will be waiting for your reply/ies. Thank you!
  6. Hi there! Just wondering. Did you get your immigrant visa/green card through an employment based petition / EB3? Because if you did, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions. I also have limited work experience but my papers are now in process under the EB3 category. Thanks!
  7. Hello allnurses angels! I just would like to hear, if anyone of you here is kind enough to share, some stories of friends, relatives, or anyone who went for the interview at the US Embassy under the EB3 category (Employment-Based petition) as an RN/Nurse with very minimal experience BUT with complete requirements to obtain a green card - such as valid employment offer, visascreen, NCLEX, etc. How did the interview go? Did the consul make an issue of the lack of nursing experience? Things like that. Looking forward to your replies :-) Thank you so much in advance.
  8. Hi! If his VSC has expired already, I believe he will have to send everything all over again, that includes school documents and revalidation of NCLEX. Please check with CGFNS to make sure that I'm correct VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment | CGFNS International | Global Credibility With regards to his RN license, you're gonna have to log in using his previous account with CGFNS and you will be able to find the form there "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma". Fill in the necessary details and have the PRC accomplish the rest. Again, it is much better to check with CGFNS website VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment | CGFNS International | Global Credibility. They might have had some changes already
  9. Thank you for all your insight guys! Point well taken @steppybay I'm also from the Philippines. Yes I absolutely don't wanna jeopardize my petition and put it to waste. I guess I'll just have to wait for my PD to become current here in the Philippines. Thanks heaps!!!
  10. Hi! No that is not what I meant, and I have no plans on working there as a tourist. I was just wondering if one can get work permit or something to be able to work there legally while the petition is pending.
  11. Yes that is correct! In fact, I just renewed my VS and CGFNS waived the need for NCLEX validation. I just submitted my new IELTS score and validation of RN license :)
  12. If your priority date is 2009, you will most likely be waiting for another 3 years maybe, i.e. granting that your petitioner won't abandon or back out on you in the end. If you renew your VS before it expires, it will be valid for 5 years anyway It is really up to you if you want to go through the process again some time in the future. It's not too much of a hassle anyway. Besides if you renew your VS right before it expires, you will be doing almost the same thing - i.e. submit your new IELTS score and validation of your local RN license - except for the school documents and validation of your NCLEX. :) Hope this helps.
  13. @martina238612 Thank you for the optimism Yes I've actually planned on doing that. I'm just curious if anyone has taken this route. It would be great to hear from them
  14. Hello everyone! I just want to hear your thoughts and advice. I have an approved EB3. My priority date is May 1, 2008. Just recently, I applied for a tourist or B1/B2 visa; luckily, it was granted. Despite full disclosure of my petition, I was still given a 10-yr multiple entry visa. Now, I plan to enter the US with my family on B1/B2 for tourism and vacation purposes. Are there ways to live and work there legally until such time that my priority date becomes current? Thank you!
  15. I think the big question is how far will Cali BRN go in extending our files hehehe Will they allow us to extend year after year until we finally get our immigrant visas? Hope they will Just curious... Has anyone here ever requested for an extension for the 3rd or more time?
