Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license
Hi there! I got this info from the BRN application: Mailing Address: Board of Registered Nursing P.O. Box 944210 Sacramento, CA 94244-2100 Street Address for overnight or in-person delivery: Board of Registered Nursing 1747 North Market Blvd., Suite 150 Sacramento, CA 95834 Since it is a P.O. box address, the only way to send in your documents is through the Post Office either registered or express mail - due to the fact that it can be tracked I have tried many times sending documents through Phil Post - registered / express to the US and somehow they all got delivered to the addressee hehehe Don't worry much about sending mails into the US 'cause their postal service is quite efficient as far as I'm concerned. Good luck there

Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license
Thank you so much! Btw, one more question. When you request for EDAS from CGFNS, is there still the need to submit some forms/documents to them or they (CGFNS) just make use of the stored TOR/School credentials that were submitted to them before for VisaScreen purposes?

Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license
Hi I just have a question re the use of EDAS from CGFNS in lieu of requesting TOR from the school. I'd like to know how you went about it. Did you just request EDAS from CGFNS and have them submit to Cali BRN? How about the Request for Transcript and BREAKDOWN OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL NURSING PROGRAMS forms from Cali BRN, is there a need to send those forms to CGFNS as well? Thank you in advance guys!

Timeframe for California verification of License/NCLEX to another state
I am in the process of obtaining my immigrant visa; will be having my interview for that soon, so I'm almost there =) Is there ever a way of knowing if the Cali BRN ever received the verification request? I sent it last December 2014 and never got an acknowledgement of receipt. Btw, thanks for the reply =)

Timeframe for California verification of License/NCLEX to another state
Hello there! I just need information as to how long it usually takes for the Cali BRN to send verification of licensure/NCLEX to another state. My initial state licensure is California but found employment in Florida hence the need for the verification of my NCLEX (since I don't have my SSN yet) to the latter state. Any idea? Would be better to know from someone with experience on this. According to their website Board of Registered Nursing - Verification of Licensure, "Please allow at least 6 to 8 weeks for processing" and "Follow up with the other board of nursing within 3 months to ensure that they have received the verification" I mean does it really take that long? Will be waiting for your reply/ies. Thank you!

Limited work experience in Ph
Hi there! Just wondering. Did you get your immigrant visa/green card through an employment based petition / EB3? Because if you did, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions. I also have limited work experience but my papers are now in process under the EB3 category. Thanks!

Questions about US Embassy Interview for EB3 Nurse without much experience
Hello allnurses angels! I just would like to hear, if anyone of you here is kind enough to share, some stories of friends, relatives, or anyone who went for the interview at the US Embassy under the EB3 category (Employment-Based petition) as an RN/Nurse with very minimal experience BUT with complete requirements to obtain a green card - such as valid employment offer, visascreen, NCLEX, etc. How did the interview go? Did the consul make an issue of the lack of nursing experience? Things like that. Looking forward to your replies :-) Thank you so much in advance.

visa screen renewal without US license
Hi! If his VSC has expired already, I believe he will have to send everything all over again, that includes school documents and revalidation of NCLEX. Please check with CGFNS to make sure that I'm correct VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment | CGFNS International | Global Credibility With regards to his RN license, you're gonna have to log in using his previous account with CGFNS and you will be able to find the form there "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma". Fill in the necessary details and have the PRC accomplish the rest. Again, it is much better to check with CGFNS website VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment | CGFNS International | Global Credibility. They might have had some changes already

Entering US on B1/B2 visa with pending EB3
Hi! No that is not what I meant, and I have no plans on working there as a tourist. I was just wondering if one can get work permit or something to be able to work there legally while the petition is pending.

visa screen renewal without US license
Yes that is correct! In fact, I just renewed my VS and CGFNS waived the need for NCLEX validation. I just submitted my new IELTS score and validation of RN license :)

Renewing of Visa Screen
If your priority date is 2009, you will most likely be waiting for another 3 years maybe, i.e. granting that your petitioner won't abandon or back out on you in the end. If you renew your VS before it expires, it will be valid for 5 years anyway It is really up to you if you want to go through the process again some time in the future. It's not too much of a hassle anyway. Besides if you renew your VS right before it expires, you will be doing almost the same thing - i.e. submit your new IELTS score and validation of your local RN license - except for the school documents and validation of your NCLEX. :) Hope this helps.

Entering US on B1/B2 visa with pending EB3
Hello everyone! I just want to hear your thoughts and advice. I have an approved EB3. My priority date is May 1, 2008. Just recently, I applied for a tourist or B1/B2 visa; luckily, it was granted. Despite full disclosure of my petition, I was still given a 10-yr multiple entry visa. Now, I plan to enter the US with my family on B1/B2 for tourism and vacation purposes. Are there ways to live and work there legally until such time that my priority date becomes current? Thank you!

Help Pls...ca Nclex Passer Without Ssn
Actually, I emailed the Cali BRN and asked about my lack of SSN and, surprisingly, they replied after almost 3 weeks hehe... Anyway, this was the reply I got: "The letter we sent, which advised you of your passing result, indicated that you had 3 years from that date to provide a Social Security Number (SSN) to our office. If you do not have an SSN by that time, you may contact our office and request an extension of your file. A request for a file extension may only be made within three months of the expiration date." But, I will still apply for a VT license. There's nothing wrong with it anyway, just another additional expense on my part. By the way, I still need your advice on how you went about the extension with Cali BRN, like to whom did you address the letter, etc. Thank you so much!

Help Pls...ca Nclex Passer Without Ssn
Hi. That's good to hear that your Cali application was renewed 2x. How did you go about it? Which person did you address the letter to? I want to know how 'cause mine is only valid until April 2010; unfortunately, with the way things are going now, I don't think I will be able to provide them with SSN next yr or even few more yrs from now. Thank you! Hope to hear from you

If I were you I'd start preparing for the required documents because it may take some time. You also have to give some allowance of time for them to process your application; you might encounter some problems along the way. Anyway, just make sure that your nclex result should have been forwarded to VT state board before time runs out :wink2: You better start reading their application packet because they have more requirements now at least you still have time to prepare :wink2:

Apparently, the VT State board has made some changes to their requirements. Try to check their latest application form for Graduates of International Nursing Schools - International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement Application this was just approved 2/20/09. You really have to request ICHP to send the documents directly to the VT state board. I checked with CGFNS, the fees range from $50-$75 for that service depends on which documents you want to have sent.

Need Help About CA Pass Letter Urgent
Mine will end in April 2010, but I'm getting myself prepared for the transfer of result to VT. I'll probably do that Nov-Dec this year then I'll try and exhaust all my effort to extend my CA application hehe I don't actually see the point anymore, just want to try extending.

Yes you have to request from ICHP to forward their evaluation of your school credentials directly to them as mentioned in their application packet: "If you have already completed the credentials evaluation process through ICHP you may have them send certified copies of the documents directly to us instead." In my case, my credentials were evaluated for Visa Screen Certificate purposes, VT state board said it's ok. I can just request from ICHP to send them their evaluation.
