Do I still need to register for pearson then eventually schedule for exam? Or I would just skip these steps and have CA BRN forward my score to them?

Hello suzanne, I am also an CA NCLEX passer. I jiust want to ask..so which goes first? Should i apply for licensure by examination first to vermont and wait for their response before having the California BRN send the result of my exam to them? Or is it the other way around? Because processing in Ca may take so long as compared to Vermont. another thing, is everything repeated or it ends with getting the eligibility then forward them the result from CA BRN..or I would still need to register to pearson for ATT and have my exam scheduled then forward them the result from CA BRN? Which is which?

Hi there.. I hope someone could enlighten me with this.. I recently passed the NCLEX RN CA and will be taking the IELTS real soon. I'm in the Philippines and I don't have an SSN. Thus, I was informed that they cannot issue me my license. Add to that, they would destroy my file 3 years without their receipt of my SSN. I don't have any idea on what to do next. How do I get this SSN? Am aware that they cannot issue me SSN since I'm not a US citizen nor have I ways to go there. Should I just find an agency to do all the works for me or should I apply for my visa screen? Cause I was thinking of applying for my visa screen first before I find my agency plus I will be starting work only only next month. Can someone tell me the process of how to get a visa screen? The steps and who to contact, through the internet perhaps. I really have no idea how to do it. Another thing is my family's suggesting to transfer my license to another state..Again, how do I go about it? Is my license needed before I can apply for reciprocity..I was thinking maybe NY, Florida or Chicago. I'm sorry I have too many questions..I hope many could reply to my queries. Thanks in advance

so does it mean you never told them that you are a nurse? since i heard that they are really strict on giving tourist visa to nurses.

Actually, this is what bothers me. I also wanted to take the exam in California but i don't have a tourist visa yet. I have my ATT already though and i'm planning to file for a tourist visa but i'm afraid i'll be denied since one of my reasons would be taking the nclex. I'm not really well informed on how to go about it. I have read also that if you have a job offer even though you didn't pass the nclex yet, you can already file for an immigrant visa. is this true? anyway, i'm still not decided though on what to do next..i just hope i'll be able to decide before my ATT expires
