Need guidance

Well, I will be short.

All grades look great except for that C in your A&P2. You have a chance of raising your GPA even higher if you take and nail micro and your other chem course. You mentioned you are 21, so you are just at the very beginning of your college career. You have options to apply for associate's and bachelor's degrees in nursing. Many associate's degrees programs are less strict than bachelor's programs. So, given your current GPA I think you should be a competitive candidate for both associate's and bachelor's programs. I cannot speak to the benefit of your community service hours to enhance your nursing applications, since I do not know what each school you will be applying requires at minimum for the admission. Lastly, in terms of your 3Ws, some schools may look negatively at them, while others will not give a time of day. Like I said, your chances are good at THIS very moment, and will be much better if you ace the rest of your pre-reqs. So, cheer up and have some faith in yourself!

Go for it. Northeastern is good about nontraditional students and the coop program makes it easier to work while in between sessions AND network for jobs while you're still in school.

First the criticism: You "need" a lot of things.

Neediness is not an attractive quality. Neediness exudes a scent of it's own and readily perceived by those in higher education and other places who will be more than happy to exploit your needs.

The positive: Your grades are not that bad.

Go to (collegescorecard.ed.gov) and look around. The stats on this site are reported to the Department of Education by the schools themselves so they are factual.

Too bad many schools themselves fought publication of this pro-student site.

Did you not get any financial award for like SAT/ACT scores? Mine werent even that good and my college was mostly paid for at a private school and I got paid to go to community college for the first two. You may be going to too expensive of a school. Any decent score on ANYTHING usually will get you a free ride at a community college at MINIMUM. This just doesnt add up.... Living expenses you should be able to get government loans for. And for community service, screw that, get a job. you can do community service once your done with school. Altruism is great but dont force it at the wrong time...

This cannot be the whole story bc, community colleges are always the best bet for the first couple years of whatever, unless you already took your basics in high school. I think I paid like 120/credit our for my premed prereqs last year or something like that. Cut a check for 1800 for an entire semester of great teaching and college experience.
