Hi guys! I took the NCLEX back in June and failed w 265 questions. I was near the passing line in every subject but one. Since then- I took a break and really started studying since aug.
I did Kaplan before and I am doing it again along w hurst (which I loved) PDA, and alternate format questions.
I have severe test anxiety and I am so scared to take it again. I am scheduled to take in kid oct.
Any suggestions ?!? I want this SOO bad, I am just so terrified on failing again
I felt last time that priority and teaching questions were the main focus.

I took my exams the first time last month shut off at 210Q and failed. I was above passing in 1 area below passing in 2 areas and near passing in 5 areas. I was so devastated since I studied all summer. I how ever put myself together after 2days and started studying again I used the same resources from the first time(Kaplan and Saunders). I took it again today and got the good pop up after 75Q. now anxiously waiting to check the unofficial results. you can do it since you know how the real exams is like. all the best

Keep doing questions and read the rationales! Doing that helped me a lot

I was near passing on all of mine, and I felt mine were mostly delegation/priority/who would you see first. You really need to read the question and figure out what it is asking. Critical thinking....

I did pretty much the same thing, used Kaplan, PDA and really just went over all rationales on tests and quizzes. My second attempt was last week and I passed with 82 questions. If there is one particular area you feel weak in hit those questions for a while but really I think the biggest difference was going over all those rationales. Confidence plays a big part also, when you sit down for the next test it is a clean slate so try to stay focused on what is in front of you not thinking about the last test. Good luck!!

Good luck!! i know how you felt cause the first time i took it i failed within 75 questions and afterwards I felt like a total failure. Just stay as positive as you can, try not to let your nerves get the best out of you and stick to a schedule and DEFINITELY read the rationales. I recently took NCLEX on Friday and found out i passed with 265 questions yesterday. I did kaplan, i did all of the q-bank (ranging 64%), q-trainers and all of the focus review tests (ranging 60-80%) which helped me out. Kaplan strategy book and did the CD with 180 questions and got 71%. I used Saunders. This seemed to overwhelm me so I just looked at subjects I wasn't too familiar with and did the quizzes everyday and also 100 question test a few times. NCLEX 3500 helped prepared me, I probably did over 1000 questions for NCLEX 3500. During the last 2 weeks i alternated for 1 day i did 75 and then i read all of the rationales and took notes on whatever I got wrong. Another day 100, then 150, then 265. Then around 4 days before test I JUST read my notes and did questions. PDA is also very good with priority and delegation for sure.

La Charity for priority questions is a great help. (first 18 chapters)
Thanks everyone!!! I take it in about 2 weeks. I seem to be getting higher scores on Kaplan and I am reading all the rationales and understanding why I am getting them right or wrong.
I am still SO terrified but want this so bad and just want to pass!!!!
