  1. Good luck!! i know how you felt cause the first time i took it i failed within 75 questions and afterwards I felt like a total failure. Just stay as positive as you can, try not to let your nerves get the best out of you and stick to a schedule and DEFINITELY read the rationales. I recently took NCLEX on Friday and found out i passed with 265 questions yesterday. I did kaplan, i did all of the q-bank (ranging 64%), q-trainers and all of the focus review tests (ranging 60-80%) which helped me out. Kaplan strategy book and did the CD with 180 questions and got 71%. I used Saunders. This seemed to overwhelm me so I just looked at subjects I wasn't too familiar with and did the quizzes everyday and also 100 question test a few times. NCLEX 3500 helped prepared me, I probably did over 1000 questions for NCLEX 3500. During the last 2 weeks i alternated for 1 day i did 75 and then i read all of the rationales and took notes on whatever I got wrong. Another day 100, then 150, then 265. Then around 4 days before test I JUST read my notes and did questions. PDA is also very good with priority and delegation for sure.
  2. Thanks for all the support guys and I found out yesterday that I PASSED!!!!!! Feeling soo blessed right now. Good luck bhumipatel2004!! Stick to a study plan. For me, I did kaplan. I did all of the qbank and q-trainer and the focus review tests. I also did saunders, but this book kind of overwhelmed me so i just looked up info that I wasn't familiar with and did the quizzes everyday and I did some of the 100 question test which I would alternate doing the tests with NCLEX3500. However around the last 2 weeks I did 75 one day and then 100 another day, then 150, then 265. Also what helped me alot is looking at the rationales.
  3. No problem!!! just stay positive and keep studying
  4. Good luck!!! Stay positive and try to stick to a specific schedule and as a suggestion, maybe you should space out the Kaplan Q-trainers because it can be somwhat overwhelming with doing all of those questions, I know when I took the kaplan course they told us to do q-trainer 6 two weeks before and q-trainer 7 a week before, but its all up to you, just try not to overexert yourself. I just recently took NCLEX for the second time yesterday and I got the good pop up!!
  5. Yesterday was my 2nd time taking the NCLEX.I was soo nervous and anxious before.. in fact I broke down crying before I entered the place. The first time I failed within 75 questions and I was very devastated cause I thought I studied so hard and knowing I failed within 75 question made me feel incompetent. It sucked because all of my other friends passed and I was the only one who unfortunately failed. For a week I took a break from studying and then I got back on my feet and kept studying. I tried to stay as positive as I can, my family and friends were extremely supportive which helped me through this process. So yesterday I took the NCLEX... and at first I was relieved that I passed 75 questions but when it got up to 180, I had a feeling I would do the entire test. I was getting frustrated, anxious, weak and extremely hungry during the test. I had around 30 Select all that apply, 4 place in order,4 EKG, 4 Exhibit questions (which i hated), a lot of the questions I took were priority, and some med. I did the PVT and I actually got the good pop up... does anyone know how accurate is the PVT?
  6. Thank you for the advice!!!I made a schedule already, hopefully i'll stick to it.
  7. I took the Nclex about 2 weeks ago in which I failed. I felt as though I didn't take my time cause i finished the test within an hour. I got soo nervous and was just getting anxious on answering the questions and I know for sure I was over thinking about some questions. I took a week off from studying, the second week I studied but not as much as I wanted to. Of course Im upset that I didn't pass, but at least I can take it again.. Im trying to be positive but im just so nervous for the next time I take NCLEX. I took the kaplan course, which I watched all the videos, especially the content several times and did all the questions. Q trainer5 61%, Q trainer6 59%, and Qtrainer7 55%. Cumulative score for Qbank is 62%. I have the Kaplan NCLEX RN strategy book, I did all of the questions in the book which averaged over 60%. I also have saunders but I didn't use this to study for my first exam.. Im planning to just look up info that Im unfamiliar with and doing the questions on the CD. I recently bought the PDA book and it seems challenging but it is very helpful. Im taking NCLEX next month.. just looking for helpful advice
