  1. I got a call on June 13 saying that I was hired. Just not sure the next steps yet. I know it takes awhile since it doesn't start until August 4th.
  2. Hi, I am a California new grad. I have recently applied to some positions in Texas because I have heard that they are very new grad friendly. I am not sure if I should wait until I get an offer to endorse my license or do it now. I was also wondering if anyone has gone through the process recently and has any advice, tips, or just steps on how to do it?
  3. I will look into South Texas hospitals. Thank you!
  4. I finished my ASN program in July, Passed my boards in October am working on my BSN online, and I have applied to hundreds of positions and no such luck. I love California, but I did not work so hard for my license to just keep it in my wallet. I have no kids and I am not married, so although my family would miss me, moving is an option for me. Any suggestions where to? How to go about it? and if you have any leads that you are willing to inbox me about, Please share. This waiting game is making me very discouraged.
  5. Passed 75 questions! Praise God. I think about 3 weeks to a month reviewing the whole program multiple times. I used other things before hurst that did not work for me. After I purchased hurst, it was all that I used along with a few kaplan q-trainers, but I stopped the q-trainers once I saw how high my scores on them were. Didn't want to burn myself out if I was as prepared as I could get and was getting burned out. My whole NCLEX was SATA, Hurst prepared me for that.
  6. Yes, it truly is only 90 days and yes you can print the lecture notes at a time. I know of some people who sent it to Kinkos and had them make a book out of the notes for about $20. I just printed mine at home and put it in a three ring binder. I am one to over study and kept looking over the materials and still felt that it was enough time. However I was not working 7 days a week. I think you will find that most programs do not have a long time frame for access and I have tried a lot of them. The same material is covered in their 3-day live review, so maybe you can set aside three days to knock them out and then just study with the lecture notes after that and listen to videos when you have the time.
  7. I'm in california and interested in this school also.
  8. Hurst is enough. It is perfect especially since you graduated 5 years ago. When I got Hurst I put away my Saunders and everything else. I followed their program exactly. Rewatched the videos a couple times, and went over their notes daily. I didn't use their 6 q banks until the week before my exam. I tried other review programs briefly and realized that none of them were for me, kaplan, remar, and ncsbn. However just for kicks I did a few q trainers, remar questions, and ncsbn questions a few days before my exam and my scores were very high, so I took that as I studied efficiently and did no more none HURST questions. I went into my test exhausted from studying. I knew that there was nothing left to do to make me more prepared Hurst prepared me so well, and I couldn't look at another NCLEX question or NCLEX anything. I was over it, I give my preparation my all, so I tested. Good luck you will do amazing, If I had been out of school for awhile I would only go with hurst, it was all I needed. Love Saunders but it may be too much information, if you must use saunders, just use it for alternate format questions.

  10. I tested on the 18th, my last name starts with L. I saw my name on the website at about 2pm today. Yeaaaa, you guys are wonderful! Just yesterday I was freaking out and today I am celebrating! If you're still waiting, trust the PVT, it worked for me! Good luck to some, and congrats to others!
  11. haha well thank you, So glad to hear that from my classmate :) Congrats on your success!!
  12. LOL whheewww, so glad to hear that :-) Thank you I was freaking out!
  13. So stress, I should I have never called them. Now i'm doubting the PVT. I've gotten the good pop up on PVT after testing on the 18th. I called today because my classmates told me to call back in a week. The first guy I spoke to scared me to death. He asked for my social then said "ummm". What?! thats not a good sound for someone that is nervous, then he transferred me to my evaluator to leave a message with the reason that pearson vue didn't send him my results. An hour later I called back and got a wonderful lady. She did scared me too by saying uh oh hmm well let me see what is going on with your paperwork. "You may need to wait about 6-8weeks to get an official result. "I can't say if you passed or failed, I am not allowed to do that, If i were I would tell you. Then she explained to me what would happen if I failed, and what would happen if I passed. After I think she noticed the tears over the phone, she then told me to have a good day, and " You are in good standing. Do you know what I mean?" I said yes, lol but i'm not sure if that was her telling me I passed. I don't mind waiting, but after the good pop up, I didn't even put failing in my mind. I hope that it still works, I check it frequently.
  14. $300. I believe that it was very very effective. As long as you study the material exactly how you are told to, review until you can lecture on any topic at the drop of a hat, and trust that HURST is enough for you to pass. Getting distracted with other review sources can cause you to doubt, and cause you to not pass with your own program. Pick a program, Trust your program, finish it, and then after you know what you need to you can supplement with other questions. I did kaplan q trainers, and the PDA book after I finished all of my hurst q-bank. to challenge my knowledge. It worked! My scores were competitive. And I felt ready for any question, and passed NCLEX-RN in 75 questions.
