2nd time around for NCLEX PN

ohh u took ur test today?? i m taking mine on friday...i m very nervous..dont rely on that if you got the last question right or wrong..and that will help you find out if u passed it or not..well GOOD LUCK...for thr results...i heard that trck worked for most people that if it let u register for exam that means u passed it but i dont really know if thats true ...i m nervous for my test too any advice???

Princess007,

Make sure you study infection control, lab values, and know the basics for med surg and maternity and peds and Select that all apply...i also forgot to mention that I got diagrams as well so practice those too...if its your first time try to stay calm. My first time i panicked so my nerves took over. this time around i remained calm deep breathe in and out when i had trouble with a question. Just remember to answer questions everyday and read rationales regardless you got them right... read every questions and answers carefully and if you dont know the answer follow your first instincts... good luck and i wish you the best! let me know how it goes..you ll be in my shoes sooon waiting for almost 5 weeks unless you have quick results your lucky! Remember to pray before taking the test and have faith... you will be fine!

thanks for replying, i think you are going to pass it ..i have a feeling:heartbeat cuz you got the hard topics like meds...and diagrams so probably you passed it..yes i m trying to study those topics but what else should i focus on infection control i tried to memorize airborne,droplet,contact ,and skin precautions and what diseases are under these precautions ..but is there anything else in infection control other than that...i m jst nervous and jst 3 more days...oh godd i want to pass it the first time...i hope i dont get pharma....whenever i try to study that i get headache.... :uhoh3: and plus i jst prayed for you so dont worry!!!!:)

Thank you so much for praying me even though we dont know each other!!! i will keep you in my prayers as well...as far as infection control did you study the mnemonics? thats how i studied for infection control. google or research infection control mnemonics.. that really helped me alot. just make sure you know what to wear for each infection control.. the way they ask questions is they give you a scenerios, they dont make those infection control simple. they all seem like the choices they give could be the answer but you have to chose the best one to me honestly its more test taking skills. if your good at taking tests, you will be perfectly fine. one more thing to add is they gave me audio, so if you have been using saunders your good to go...but everyones preference is not all the same. first time i used exam cram, this time around i used Saunders which helped me so much. also do not study a day before the test..reward yourself like shopping, getting a massage etc etc... i talked to a classmate of mines today and he took his last friday. he stopped at like 101, but his test was totally different he didnt get any diagrams nor audios, 5 satas and 4 drugs..so everyones test can be different....as far as drugs i had a headache more like migraine when studying cause how the hell can you memorize all those drugs. I studied acronyms, that was an advice from one of the threads here...but honestly, i think the drugs i got were drugs that were advertised on tv. what made it worst was that some of my drug questions were SATA...i hope im not scaring you...just remember give it your all...and if things dont turn out the way they do, your not the only one ...im on my 2nd time hoping i dont have to go a 3rd time because studying is very stressful..

let me ask you something: do you believe things happen for a reason?

Hello,

I too failed my LVN the first time around at 133 questions. Second time i took it it stopped at 134!! and I PASSED!! the trick does not work u jjust have to wait and see the results.. good luck!!

i asked that because just this afternoon, i got laid off from work.. which is really weird....i cried all the way from home bc i didnt know what to think..other than i have a car note, bills, and other responsibilities. im sayin to myself could there be a reason why this is all happening after I take my Nclex exam....i just hope someone UP above the sky is watching over me...

I got the mail today and received one of those NCLEX review flyer, i heard from someone is if you receive those flyer that means you failed. When i took the boards the first time, i received those flyer as well. so what am i suppose to think....i feel so hopeless..especially with what im going through right now.....
