I did not agree with my first evaluation for HPRP so I opted to do a second opinion with an addictionist..the eval went well and the Dr had said he didn’t see a reason for further monitoring... what are the chances of HPRP listening to the second evaluation????

This might get deleted and I can’t DM you until you have more post and replies. call Chapman Group Law in Troy, MI. They are the firm that brought the class action lawsuit against HPRP. All they do is represent Medical professions. HPRP is notorious for lying.

Yeah I have tried them a few times already

TAANA.org. You can find an RN who is also a JD.

I have personally spoken to 3 in our state (also in MI) who have experience in license defense. Though, even I am having difficulty getting in touch with them right now.

As soon as Monday rolls around, I'll be calling them back – and every day after until somebody responds meaningfully to me. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Just curious if you heard anything about your second evaluation???

They will force you into a monitoring program. But, if you stay negative within that 90 day evaluation you have a good chance of getting out without any further monitoring. Good luck. You have to be negative in all tests they give you within that 90 day period. Good luck!

HI Siciliy, they did my first evaluation and I did not like it. intake manager said that I can go for 2nd opinion and she will provide the list of evaluators. I just don't know what to do. I need your advice. thanks

I reported the dui per my lawyers instructions last year.. took a year for the board to refer to hprp. Was told that if assessment came back with no diagnosis that case would be discharged. I am just curious if anyone has actually been discharged without an agreement, as I would think if there is no diagnosis there would be nothing to monitor. However, obviously this is all Greek to me and I am trying to navigate as I go. I have talked to a couple of lawyers but it was before the outbreak. So now that everything has virtually stopped ( except for hprp process) I can not get in touch with a lawyer.

To clarify I reported my conviction to the board of nursing. I never reported anything to HPRP.

I am facing the same issue here. they did the first evaluation. I refused it. they are talking about 2 years monitoring agreement. I am looking for the 2nd opinion. I am just wondering if an attorney can help? intake manager told me that she is going to send me the list of evaluators. but I need my own evaluator. it would be helpful if anyone advice me. thanks mirno7!

Did he BOM accept the eval?

Is the 90 day a monitoring program prior to HPRP? What kinds of tests do they do? Hair/urine/blood??
