2nd attempt on Tuesday

I'm so nervous. I'm constantly lurking in this site to be motivated but I still don't feel ready for the exam.

I failed 265 before, 1 above the passing standard and everything else near the passing standard. I hope I pass this time.

They said its harder the second time around because the questions will be a lot harder. Is this true?

I need words of encouragement guys. Please help.

No problem I'll email them right to you. Trust me the infection control will save you on the test. I think I remember literally getting ALOT of infection control especially when to use gloves, gown, mask, and even goggles. Before the day of my exam, I just reviewed the PDA book and all the rationales. Although I did terrible on the PDA (scoring 40s, 50s, 60, and some 70s) I FOCUSED on the rationales. I really think scores don't matter it's quality not quantity that matters :) I also read the AN guide just to refresh what I've studied and labs and PSY medications (I highly recommend you looking at it quickly especially Clozaril in and out). On the day of the exam I didn't bother looking at anything because I didn't think it made much difference to retain anything else. You'll do great!!!! Prayers to you! Don't forget READ QUESTIONS carefully and slowly :)

Thank you so much. I really appreciate this! And your notes, OMG! I love how it focuses on the most important things a brand new nurse should know. :) Thank you for sharing it to me. God bless you! :)

Your welcome! I believe in you and trust yourself! Believe me I was in the same boat as you with almost passing the first time. Honestly, I had to time and time again give myself pep talks in the mirror and pray and repeat bible versus in my head to keep my anxiety down. The last day before the test I mixed it up a little bit. I went to church, went over my entire Kaplan review book (fat book i got during kaplan course its like saunders) reread everything I highlighted one last time for about 2/3 hours then went out to get a massage and Disneyland (I have a pass) for a little to have some fun and keep my mind of the nclex. I came home reviewed the last chapter 18 in lacharity for 1 more hour before bed then got a good nights rest. My test was at 2 so the next day I woke up reread the other Kaplan strategies book, only the section on priority and then notes for 3 more hours, got a good meal and went for it.

Trust me I cried a lot to get it out of my system, everyday before the test and one last cry right before the test In my car! I'm a baby I know! Honestly I told myself what's the worst that could happen? It didn't kill me the first time so I knew I was strong enough to face it again if it be. But you have to be proud of yourself for even having the courage to sit there a SECOND time. That's one accomplishment in itself! You got this girl TAKE YOUR TIME!! And pray! I brought him in there with me and even spoke to him during the test! (sounds crazy I know) but I remember u gave me versus the other time we spoke. I'll return the favor bc this is what got me through: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight" and "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed". Goodluck! I hope my novel wasn't too boring! I'll pray for u!!

All the best to you.Do not get nervous or excited when you get more than 75 questions.Take break whenever you feel not focused.Hiding the clock is most important as you keep on looking at which number you are.Focusing on each question is the key so stay focused on each question.Memorize mnemonic for infection control and lab values.Believe in yourself.

You can do it

Send me your email. I'll send you all of my notes :)
