NCSBN Review - advice???

Hi, I am new here, first time posting. I am studying to take my NCLEX on the 26th - I have signed up for the NCSBN review and am working through the questions on that....what I am wondering is if the grades I am getting on these tests are an indication of how ready I am for the NCLEX?? Has anyone got any good advice?? I have been getting anywhere from 50-80 but most are between 60-70ish. I am also doing some Saunders and Mosby's study questions as well. I did good on the prioritizing and delegating sections, both 80's.

I am worried that I am either over studying and getting burnt out or that I am not studying enough!

Any thoughts, thanks, Jenn

Noone has any advice?? I see a ton of people posting that they passed and I want to congratulate you for your accomplishment!!

Still just wondering if there are people out there who didn't do amazing on the study quizes and tests of review questions, but passed the NCLEX?? I posted my usual scores on the previous post and would honestly like to know if people think these won't cut it - in their experience. Anyone? Please?

Not that I am meaning to sound desperate :chair: but I am freaking a little, test is in 1 1/2 weeks!!

Thanks, Jenn

Don't freak. Just relax and study systematically.

NCSBN should be a good resource because THEY write the NCLEX exam.

I don't have experience with their review, so I cannot answer your specific questions. But, don't get worked up about NCLEX.

My experience and what I've seen: people do as poorly because of nerves as they do because of being prepared to take it.

Work on being prepared. But, also, work on nerves. I know, easy for ME to say.

Study, pray if that's for you, and relax. And you should do fine.

I did NCSBN review and passed the NCLEX RN test without any difficulty. It is an excellent review resource. What you have to do is try and understand the contents of the topics covered.

As you practice the questions, do well and think like those who write the questions. Once you grasp that concepts NCLEX will not scare you anymore.

Study and practice the questions consistently and your test scores will improve. This will enable you to avoid similar mistakes on the actual test. I also used Saunders Q&A the 2006 edition. It is a very good book.

I wish you all the best and always remember PATIENT SAFETY is the password in NCLEX RN test.

I used the review you are talking about before I took my exam. The NCSBN or whatever one. I usually got between 60-70 on the tests, a little higher sometimes, a couple times a little lower. I passed and thought it was good preparation. Good luck to you.

I am taking my NCLEX on Tuesday and I did the NCSBN review. I haven't taken it yet, but have been getting around the same scores as you and feel like that is enough. A friend of mine took the review and got about the same scores as I did and she took her exam and passed! I'll let you know if, I mean WHEN I pass, to let you judge if your scores are high enough. If they are for me, they should be for you too!!
