Nclex tomorrow! Prayers needed...3rd attempt and losing hope!

Published

Hello AN Family,

Tomorrow, I take NCLEX for the 3rd time and I am beyond exhausted. I have given up everything, and I MEAN EVERYTHING (MARRIAGE, JOB, & EVEN HOPE) for this exam. This recent time that I have been studying has been nonstop for the last 3 months. I have pleaded with the Lord above to whom I think hates me. I don't think I can bear another dissapointment in failing this exam anymore. It has literally taken all of the energy out of me and I'm exhausted!

I am asking for prayers, well wishes, and any words of encouragement! I'm already armed & ready to go into the exam to take all 265 questions. Thank you so much!

You will pass! think POSITIVE..I am taking the test 3x as well..Keep pushing fwd! How did you prepared this time around? what did you get on your report?..We will succeed :)

Show to the boards that you're a safe nurse. Be confident. Be calm.Good luck, you got this. I will pray for you.

ok, not going to sound very nice here.....if you gave up all that, and studied to exhaustion, you are not demonstrating good time management nor good prioritization. If you don't pass this time, you need to rethink your path, and/or go back to school.

You have to think positive in spite off. Your thoughts become your reality. I wish you the best of luck & will say a special prayer for you.

To give up my full time job was necessary in order to solely focus 100% on studying for my exam to which I had fully not done so with the last 2 times that I had taken the exam. In doing so, it allowed me in the last 3 month to review and understand my weaknesses, thus, have greatly increased my practice exam scores. Not to mention, I understand and can apply the content to scenario based questions that are much like NCLEX style.

Next, I sincerely believe that to have a companion means that someone supports during your ups & down. Which in this case, my downs was the fact that I couldn't pass the last two times around with minimal to moderate preparation. Unfortunately, my husband couldn't deal with the fact that I couldn't pass (along with other minute factors) and decided to leave. I truly believe, it was for the better with my strong support system behind me encouraging me to never give up despite my road blocks.

I'm am not sure what you mean by I'm not demonstrating good prioritization nor time management as the 3rd time around that I am putting this exam FIRST. For a person who is taking the exam for the very first time doesn't go into the exam think, I'm going to fail twice so that I can take it for the 3rd time. To take the exam for the 3rd time would indeed leave someone 'exhausted '. Wouldn't you agree?

God forbid I fail this exam 3, 4, 5 more times. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!!!!! Nor will I rethink this career path. I continue to welcome all well wishers and POSITIVE thoughts as it is truly making me feel so much better.

Sorry to hear your story. Dont worry about negative opinions, you know yourself better, you know your struggles, so the only person who can motivate you the most is yourself by focusing on the positive side. Good luck and I wish you success this time.

if you need to do this much studying, your school did not prepare you for NCLEX/job. or....you skimmed your way through school. I hope you pass, but if you don't, my previous advice still stands.

Thank you kindly for you response.

I'm not asking for advice. Give your opinion to someone else who's requesting for advice (to which I am NOT).

Good luck! I am taking mine next week. Ill keep you in my prayers!
