Published

Well everyone----

The time has come and I am taking the big test tomorrow. I am so scared, nervous, anxious...you name it and I feel it. I hope all the prayers come true and I become an RN tomorrow. Anyone else testing tomorrow? GOOD LUCK!!!!! :uhoh3::)jp

I had one herbal question, can't remember though, I have blocked it out. I know one of the answers was St. Johns Wort, and I didn't pick that answer. :chuckle I would study the big herbals like St. Johns Wort, Ginko Biloba, Goldenseal, and maybe a little Echinacea.

Thanks Jen and Happy-ER-RN! I'm familiar with Echinacea, but I'll read up on some of the other common ones too. Thanks for the tips! :)

:balloons: Good luck to all the newgrads onboard who are taking the NCLEX tomorrow! Relax, and don't "overthink" the questions on the exam. :)

So I took the test 7/11. Is it a bad sign if you think the test wasn't so hard and you felt like you weren't guessing on most questions?? Maybe I'm TOO confident, but I was expecting the test to shut off at 75. It ended up going all the way to 221. And I KNOW I got the last question wrong. I thought the 1st 75 weren't so bad. (It did get harder in the end, but I think this was partly due to being sick of answering the questions!) There were only 2 diseases which I've never heard of, I was expecting way more. Oh, after reading this board, I was expecting herbal questions, which I got maybe 2. One of them was hard because it was asking about specific herbs and drug interactions which I didn't know. I studied for 3 weeks. I took like 10 Mosby CAT tests and got 99% for most of them - although usually up to 1/3 of the questions were repeats. Agh! Oh, and I am in the bottom of my class! With a 3.8+ average, I'm in the bottom of my class!

Holy cow, I took my NCLEX on the 11th also. I wasn't overly nervous, but then again I'm not usually outwardly nervous. I had to drive 1 hour to the site and was happy that my test was scheduled for 3pm, since I'm not a morning person :chuckle. I actually got to the site 2 hours early. I made sure I had real food for lunch. The test center was clean and quiet, and the staff was great at making us feel less anxious.

I took my time and ended up with 124 questions that took me 1 1/2 hours. I had only one math problem and lots of priority ones,(which pt. would you see first). I have no idea how I did, but I hope I did well enough.

Reading everybody's posts here have made me feel better. I don't feel alone in my misery. I'll post back as soon as I find out on Wednesday.

I had to drive 1 hour to the site and was happy that my test was scheduled for 3pm, since I'm not a morning person .

That's exactly why I scheduled my test for 2:15 pm ...... I don't know what I would do if I were scheduled to take it at 8 am, or even 9 or 10 am for that matter lol. I found a 2:15 time slot (the only one I could find for this whole month!) and grabbed it right away.

I actually don't think I'll be too nervous the day of the test. I think these few days prior to it is what's getting me anxious ..... I am just anxious to get it over with, so in a way I'll be excited to go and get it done.

Good luck to all of you that tested today, I hope you get the results really soon .... and good luck to those preparing to take it this week!!

I am right there with you. I had 105 questions (2 calcs, few select all, a number of priority questions, and a variety of all topics). I am so scared. Did you feel like you were guessing on some? I have looked a few up and know I messed up on some easy ones (due to nerves I am sure). I can hardly breath waiting for the results. jess

Only one more day guys! I have already checked the website, uhhh, like 15 times, just in case the results are posted early! :) I will try to only check one more time this evening. I am going to have trouble sleeping...

One more day! One more day!

I took my NCLEX PN today and it shut off at 86, (which is one more then the minimum) I just froze. I am the first person in my class to take it, we just graduated at the end of June. Everyone is waiting to see if I passed.. (no pressure!!!) I just wish I knew what my chances for passing were. I did feel like I guessed on a few but I also felt like I knew alot of them. Plus I had alot of math which made me happy. I also had 15 or so priority questions. Errr just wish I knew...Beth

I passed!!!!!

Congratulations!! I, too, passed!!!

My take on the NCLEX is this, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The day before I tested, I had spoken to a fellow graduate who had already taken the boards, and she told me that is was easy. I almost hung up on her, I told her that she's the first person that I knew that had thought that. Despite what she said, I went into the testing center thinking that this was going to be the hardest test that I will ever take.

When I finished the test on 7/11, I thought, that's it? This is the test that I've been scared of from the beginning? The majority of questions that I got were not difficult, of course I got those priority questions and yes, they were hard, but aside from those, it really wasn't as bad as I had thought. When I left I knew that I had passed this behemoth of a test.

To those who have yet to test, waiting will be the hardest part but there are 2.6+ million RN's out there, all who have done it, it can be done. Put your time in studying because you have to know your content, know you herbs (only had one) and just do what you gotta do, you guys will have RN behind your names in no time. Be blessed!

To those waiting, my fingers are crossed for you and you're in my thoughts.

*Edit* To those who gave good lucks and kind words, thank you!

To suzanne4, Thank you for the encouragement and your articles, your kindness will one day be rewarded.
