NCLEX tomorrow 7/11!!!! anyone else?

Well everyone----

The time has come and I am taking the big test tomorrow. I am so scared, nervous, anxious...you name it and I feel it. I hope all the prayers come true and I become an RN tomorrow. Anyone else testing tomorrow? GOOD LUCK!!!!! :uhoh3::)jp

Well, I was scheduled to take my exam on the 12th, I decided last night to get online and make sure I was scheduled and I wasn't! I have no idea how it happened. So I did a search and it said the next available test date was a month away. So I of course went into hysterics. I decided to do one more search and it popped up that I can take it at 8am on the 11th. So I signed up and I just got back from taking it!!! I was so nervous last night since I thought I still had a day and a half to prepare.

I woke up early and did about 30 minutes of yoga/meditation with this wonderful video I have, took a shower and went. I was surprisingly calm during the exam until the last 10 questions and it shut off at 75. I have no idea how I did. I had about 6 of those damn multiple answer questions! I have never done well on those. I had no math and that was one thing I can do! Grrrrr. Anyway, good luck to all of you who are taking it today. In 48 hours this will all be over with--hopefully.

You guys might not read this before you test, but here's a bit of advice I took from a friend of mine about nerves before the test.....Read the tutorial slowly....if you're still nervous after that.....read it again. I was terrified when I sat at the computer, but I read the tutorial slowly even though I already understood everything it was telling me and by the time I was done, I was in test mode and feeling less anxious. That was awful....the worst test ever! I felt like I was guessing on more than half of them. I am so mad! I was a really good student and always got good grades. I had 105 questions and am feeling really down right now. How about the rest of you 7/11 testers? I had only a few calculations and multiples....good amount of priority though. Let me know and lets all pray!!! jess

Priority questions are a good sign, another excellent sign is the test shutting off on a question that you know you got right! Good luck to you!

I am not sure if I got the last one right. I may not have. I did have priority though. I hate this waiting and worrying. Can you still pass if you got the last one wrong? jess

I felt like I was guessing on all of them also, and I also did very well in nursing school. I think everyone feels like that. Here is what I have been telling myself. I know for a fact that 85% of people pass the boards. Now, if you (and me) were in the bottom 15% of our class then we would be at a higher risk for failing, but since we weren't we will be fine. At least, that's what I have been telling myself. :) I am trying to just not think about it though. Getting myself worked up will not help the situation. At 8 am on Wed. morning I can then decide what to think about the whole situation. And until then :beer:

I'm back, it was pretty bad but the computer shut off at 75. I'm going to be happy about that. Yes, let's all pray for eachother! Are we all in the quick results states?

I got 75 questions. Two on gentamycin 4 mutlipltes, many "which perso do you see/call/attend to first" questions. Only two herbals. I've been on the anytime minutes all day trying to reassure myself. If felt it was moderately difficult. Used the Kaplan about 3-4 times. Many of the times I asked myself "who will die if I don't see them " to eliminate anwer choices. :uhoh21: It was a good mix of topics! Like a nursing buffet! And more of those double whammies (pregnant woman with hx of diabetes & HTN). Well unfortunatelty (?!) California doesn't let us relax. No early answer option :o

May eveyone get the rest they deserve- Lord Knows we worked hard !!!

I got 75 also. I sat there stunned because I couldn't believe the computer shut off. I feel like I did a horrible job. I felt ill leaving the testing center. But it is over now. Hope everyone did well. I will pray about this. Regarding questions I got a Gentamycin? 1 drug calc, alot of select all that apply, mostly priority and delegation 1 herbal question and oh yeah one on Paget's disease.

A lot of people that have taken the test lately have said they've had herbal questions ..... I haven't seen anything in my review questions about herbals though, yikes!!

I had an herbal question but it was easy. Something like:

Herbal medication:

A: Can be taken with all other medication

B: Has no side effects

c: Patients don't need to inform their doctor if they're taking an herbal medication.

And then something like:

D: Eccinecia (I know, spelled wrong) can help inprove your immune system.
