If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!
I took my exam on Sept. 22 and I received my results today in the mail. Again, I did not pass. But, I am not going to give up. I also studied the book known as Exam Cram. It has good content and excellent questions. I decided that I am going to try Suzannes method also. Will you all please pray for me, so that this time when I do retake the exam that I will pass it. Thank you and God bless you all
I'm not cramming, I am using questions from an Exam Cram book. You never really feel prepared for NCLEX. You just have to study as many questions as you can. I feel I am ready to take my scheduled test date. Thank you for the advice.
I also have the same book, I think it is an excellent book. although I failed the exam, I still am going to go back through my book and do more studying and answering questions.

I just wanted to say that I also used the "exam cram" book! It was an excellent book, especially with all the practice questions that were offered. I would suggest this book to anyone.. Good luck to everybody:yeah:

Hi all, I wanted to post my experience on the NCLEX and the type of things I did to pass. I found out this morning that I Passed with 96 questions. I studied from like noon to 5pm mon thru Fri without fail for a month. I stopped practicing 4 days or so before my test because I felt burned out and tired of looking at that stuff.
I have been reading everyone's post on the NCLEX and tried to incorporate a little of everybodies advice.
Here is what I think:
What I think helped me was the HURST REVIEW! online. I read that book (subjects) everyday. I would read through maybe 2 to 3 subjects i.e cardiovascular, oncology, GI etc.. a day then utilized Kaplan q bank.
The Kaplan Q bank without a doubt I feel is the type of questions you will see on the NCLEX. In my opinion Kaplan questions were harder then the NCLEX ones I got. I only utilized Saunder's comprehensive as a reference and to read in more detail a subject matter I felt I was not good in.
Also with the Kaplan q bank you can design your own test i.e 50, 60, etc questions with all subject matter or just safety management. it breaks down your average by subject matter so I knew that infection control was something I needed to work on.
NCLEX EXAM:
i got a ton of alternate format questions like drag in this box, Select all that apply and fill in the blank type. I had a lot of drugs. My last question was easy in my opinion and is what made me think that I did not do so well. It took me 3 hours. I took my time and did not keep track of how long I was spending on anyone question. On some questions I swear spent like 5 minutes on because I knew the information but, it was jumbled in my head so I sat back kicked my feet up and thought about it until it came to me. At no time did I rush. When the computer went blank I was very, very nervous and I knew that the wait would be torture.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions.
THANK YOU! GOD BLESS! and I will keep everyone in prayer that they are at peace and receive the knowledge they need to pass.
GOOD LUCK!
