NCLEX Takers Support Thread
I studied about 4 different books. My favorite was the KAPLAN-PN This book had a unique way of explaining just how to take the test. It also had several "Priority" practice questions. Just remember where you stand in your scope of practice when taking the test. I put together with the help from one of my books a study guide, that I used on the last day before I tested. It really helped. Good luck to you, and to all!! I hope this helps. P.S. The study guide is about 10 pages long, if you would like for me to send you a copy just e-mail me and I will send it your way.

NCLEX Takers Support Thread
I just wanted all of you to know that I passed my NCLEX-PN. I want to thank all of you for the prayers and kind words. I will say that when I found out, I just sat down and cried. There had been so much stress, and animosity that had built up inside of me over the past few days, that when the results were revealed I just lost it!! Take care, and I will remember all of you in my prayers. I love you people, I love you NURSES!!! J

A Frustrated Nurse Writes About Poor Conditions in Evacuee Shelters
I have one thing to say about the bad conditions that you experienced. "Louisiana" Enough said!!!

do you ever just wanna yell..."Would you SHUT UP already???"
Girl I know what you mean. I just graduated nursing school, and we had one of them that would let you know everytime they spoke, that they also "worked on the truck" This student was also an EMT, and hearing this once or twice was fine, but not everytime they spoke about a subject. It finally just started being funny, and everybody would expect to hear this phrase at least once a day during lecture, even the instructors waited for him to say it. Good luck with your future.

Has anyone ever took medical terminology??
Medical Terminology I & II was very helpful for me, especially when I took Micro. and A & P I. I will be taking A & P II this fall, and expect it to be just as helpful. I was able to focus on certain study material, instead of all of it, because I already knew what certain words meant. I recommend it if you can take it; just a lot of memorization. Good luck:paw:

**Long Sigh**
Be careful, when taking a class over that is less than 7 years old. At my school you lose points on your application, if you take a required class over within the 7 year time frame.. Best of luck!!!!!!:paw: Just go talk to an advisor and confirm this at your school.

High school transcripts (RANT!)
Just go to the school in question administrations building and physically pick up the transcript yourself. This is what I did when I decided to attend college only one month before school started that semester. Sometimes we have to do things ourself if we want it done right, or even done at all. Just calm down, there are alot more things in life to get upset over.......All nurses need patients!!!!!

Medical Terminology
I took med term I & II. It is not a pre-req at my school either. I believe that it helped me with my other science classes when I was taking them together. My school only gives points for med term I and Med term II is just basically for your benefit. I recommend taking both of them if you can. You will only be ahead of the game with both classes.

Microbiology Spring 2007
Roro, Ok let me get this straight, you have completed your first week of micro? I will say that I am happy for you in understanding the first week of micro, but I promise it will get "a little" tougher, more like alot tougher. That book will be used! Please understand that micro is a very complex subject and there is alot of complicated information to absorb in a very short time. It takes more than just reading some printed notes. Good luck to you.
