  1. ALGENON, WHAT HAPPENED????? YOU STARTED, NOW FINISH. HAVE YOU PAST THE NCLEX:banghead:
  2. StudentNurseForever, I know that they are giving calculations(drips, conversion)...which I am confident in. There are many specialty nurses in our group (ER, Mother/Baby, etc,). They informed us that it will be drugs that any of us could use, how to administer, therapeutic range...things of that nature. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone. Thank You:heartbeat
  3. Hi, I agree with Jules A. You sound like you know about the company, and how you would fit in the company. Wow them with your personality (which shows in your words) and be honest. I have no doubt you will get the job. Let me know what happens.
  4. Marilynmom, Thanks. I may just be a little apprehensive, because these drugs are used sometimes on my floor--Oncology.
  5. I am a novice nurse, going through the Versant program--an 18 week course designed to ensure that I am a "safe" nurse when they cut the strings:nurse:. I am going to have a hospital quiz on medications. I want to be able to ace this test. Calculations are no problem, but their are so many drugs that I don't know where to start. I know that there are going to be drugs that do not matter what specialty you are in, they expect you to know. I have a few in mind: digoxin lasix solumedrol insulin dilaudidNow after that I have no clue what other drugs go across the board. Can someone help this novice nurse out? P.S. I would like all the advice that can be offered in starting out as a new grad.
  6. PRAISE GOD....I PASSED:nurse:!!!!! I have been sick waiting for my results. I took my test on Monday. I live in Florida and they have quick results. Yesterday I looked on the BON registry and my license # was not there. Many of my friends was there the next day. I begin to get a headache and stomach ache:banghead:. This morning...my # was there. To all of you who have studied and prepared yourself....YOU WILL PASS. I am sending out blessings to everyone who reads this thread. Thanks for this thread...it saved me.
  7. :bow:Congrats Threx:yeah:....that is the most amazing story. I read this thread to help me relax from my test taking anxiety. I have changed my testing date three times...now there is no more time left. I take my test on Monday October 6.Today, after reading this thread, I say that whatever happens will happen. I was in the same boat as you...I waited a long time before I decided to pick up a book. I have been reviewing (because there is nothing that I can really study) for the test for about two weeks. I will not beat myself up over this. Either I know it or I don't. What happened to the young man that started this thread...HAVE U PASSED OR WHAT??????:argue:
  8. This is a great thread. Just want you to send some prayers to the heavens in hopes to get some blessings in return. I have my whole entire family praying for me....but there can never be too many prayers. I will be taking NCLEX Monday October 6. I pray to the heavens that I am ready.
  9. HCT, We have spoke privately before. I just want to update you. I have finally finished school:yeah:. I am currently applying to sit for boards. When I filled out the medical portion of the questionaire I did not include my HIV status because my doctor told me that that is not what the question asked. The question was..."Have you in the last 5 years been diagnosed or treated for a physical impairment?" My doctor said that my status is not an impairment but a disease process and if they deny my application for that she would go to bat for me. My doctor informed me that my HIV status is protected under the Disabilty Act. Thank you for your support. Sorry I haven't been in touch but this last semester was tough. Hope to hear from you and others soon.
