NCLEX Takers Support Thread

I failed my first time , but I didn't shed a drop of tear. I got my 2nd ata a month ago but I have no gut to pick up the ph. to schedule my 2nd exam. I took Kaplan review before, this time I am doing a more comprehensive review with Saunders by myself. The stress is straining my relationship with my fiance too and I can't Stop thinking about how pay off the damn student loan if i don't pass again

I m also reading "Random Fact Throwing" by Sticky. I think it's so helpful. I am so glad that I found this website, This is my first time posting n I am happily in love with this site n you all. Thanks for being here

Hello!

I know how you are feeling and where you are coming from as far as your loans etc. These things right now need to be pushed aside so this does not get in the way of your studying creating more stress than you need. Believe me studying is a full time job and the end result will be your nursing license. I am going to do Suzanne's Plan this time to prepare for my next time which will be in December. I am new to this website but have visited it many times but realized you have lots of support. We are all going through the same thing and can relate. Take some time off for yourself and get back into studying.

Ya'll can PASS the NCLEX. Just read the question and re-read the question, take a deep breath, choose your answer (use your process of elimination and remember your ABC's). Re-read the question with your answer to make sure that you answered what it was asking. I received my results after 5 1/2 weeks of torture (Cali doesn't participate in quick results) and I passed. I feel like I won the lottery and you CAN DO IT TOO!!! Follow your gut and take your time. God bless each and everyone of you! Good luck on your testing......

hi read butterfly!thank you so much!i know where gonna make it!im going to take mine too on dec!i enrolled at kaplan 3mos ago while waiting for my eligiblity and im not so sure if BON if they will gonna allow me to taken an exam because i dont have a license on my country so what i did on my review is come what may im not taking it seriously and last Aug 28 i got my ATT and i feel so nervous now and i cant believe i am going to take an NCLEX RN the most hardest part!:heartbeat

i know THIS is God's plan for me,because if he doesnt want me to be a nurse i cant have my eligiblity:cry:

I didn't have the time to take my exam because I have to be here before I turn 21..That's the immigration law..

I graduated school in June and sat for the NCLEX as soon as I could. It was about 2 mths after I got out of school. I studied ALOT by doing NCLEX practice questions everyday. I did about 1500-2000 questions a week for the 2 mths. It doesn't matter how many you get wrong but it does matter that you understand how or why you got them wrong. I read every rationale to the questions, the ones I got right and the ones I got wrong. I felt like I actually learned alot more after I graduated by doing the questions then I did during school. The only thing that I did study that was not practice questions was lab values. I made flash cards with the normal lab values on them and studied them 5 at a time until I got them down. It took about a week to get them all memorized. On the NCLEX you need to be able to pick out the normal values.

I used about all the books....LOL I used mainly just the cd's on the computer. Before we got out of school we traded cd's so I had about 5 programs on my computer. I used Kaplan, Davis, Lippencott, Saunders...

Hi everyone, my prayers goes out to everyone who is preparing for the test and those who are scheduled to take the test. I actually took the test last Wednesday and found out on Friday that I did not pass. Although feeling very discouraged, I am ready to get back up again and go for it. I decided to sign up for the Kaplan review to help me with the questions because I definitly feel that I just didnt know how to disect the questions. I am happy to hear about this prayer forum because I do think that its by the grace of god that we are able to do what we do. I am looking forward to hear the good news from evreyone when they pass. Think about Suzanne's Plan as well and it does not cost a thing. Simplify the questions and ask yourself What do they want to know. Sometimes we make things too complex and remember we are students who just graduated so keep it simple. Practice, Practice, Practice with a strict study schedule. YOU WILL DO THIS! Do not lose hope you will make it.

hi,so your my kababayan?:yeah:wew!hope so!we have the same reason.i need to be here before my visa will expire so even though i want it to try to take an exam in our country i cant because there might be no chance to be in here again.
