I took mine this morning. I kept telling myself "Just don't shut off at 85" but guess what? It did. I wanted to burst into tears. I started shaking so badly! The screen went blue and stayed that color. I got slammed with pharm questions and they were TOUGH! It just named the med (which of course I never heard of) and asked for the common side effect etc. I also got hit with many "select all that apply". I don't feel like there is any way I could have passed and if I had gotten more questions, I would feel better about it. I'm so depressed and scared.

It might be reassuring for you to know that many of the people who see their exams stop after having answered the 85-question minimum have passed. Good luck to you!

try the PVT
NURSINGSTUDENTSTILL- which state are u at? im also taking mine on the 23rd. and im nervous
I am in PA. I just tried the PVT and it blocked me from the cc page. That does give me a little bit of hope but I'm about to pay the 7.95 for the quick results.
As far as tips go, I studied my rear off and there is NO way to know what questions will be thrown at you, and to be honest, I have never heard of 90% of the meds it asked me about and the questions gave no clues.
Apparently for each question you get correct, the following question is more difficult so they say if you leave crying you probably did well. It's been 8 hours and I'm still crying though. I just don't see how I could have passed. I have the "deer in the headlights" feeling all day now. I keep thinking "Okay, what the heck just happened here?".
I also am wondering if when I said I was there for the NCLEX-PN if they gave me NCLEX-Pramacist Nazi test instead of Practical Nurse!!! If I did fail, I'm not sure if I want to retest.
Thank you everyone! I passed!!!!!!!:D:D:nurse:

They said they test your minimum competency, but the test is HARD as it can be. I don't get it. Why they make this test so HARD to pass...where not RN ...where LPN.
I agree with you. My school explained it that for each question you answer correctly, the next question they give you is more difficult. I understand that but geesh, I started to really think those med questions were on MD or pharmacist level and you would think that there is a max level of difficulty for the questions.
I have mixed feelings because of course they want to make sure we aren't going to kill anyone but I don't have my PDR memorized and who does? LOL. The good thing is that it is possible to pass NCLEX and we did it and lots more of us are doing it every day :)
