NCLEX-RN tomorrow! am lost and don't know what to do

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi all,

I will be taking my exam tomorrow for the second time and had finished the questions that I have on hand. I do not know what I should do now as I am still not feeling confident. (First time experience was traumatizing, flashback kept coming back) I have the feeling like I am confident this time and next moment I am lost again.

I packed up all the needed documents in my bag(ATT, meal bars etc) and also choose clothing that I am going to wear ( overwhelming, sorry guys) I have come to a point where shall I revise again or I should stop and relax for the rest of the day. I used Kaplan Qbank(online-free), NCBSN 3 weeks and Hurst Online Review this time. The first time round, I used Saunder 5th(yellow book) and La Charity but left me with "bad pop up" after that.

Just can't afford to have another disappointment as it is so expensive to purchase further more reviews(all came with expiry date) and exam fees too. Sorry for pouring out my thoughts and emotions over here.

Thank you for reading the post too! Am just feelig helpless and scare again.

Hi I took my NCLEX for the first time last Tuesday (17th) I prepared over 2 weeks using the Virtual ATI Review offered by ATI. I was assigned a one and one instructor. The program is a great tool for studying. I went through the content areas one by one and when finished with an area proceeded to take an assessment if you acheived 60% or higher on the assessment you moved on to the next area. The assessments also gave you trouble areas to work on before NCLEX. You can also break the material down over a longer period of time if you feel you learn at a slower pace. Once done with all content areas I took an RN Predictor Exam and it told me I would have a 93% chance of passing the first time.

I took my NCLEX four days later. I had 75 questions with many SATA and hard drug questions at the end. I knew when I got to the 74th question that my test was going to shut off because the content was harder and harder.

My other advice is too stay calm and get a good night sleep. You have to be rested, comfortable, and above all confident about taking this test. I know that its easier said than done but I honestly was a nervous test taker when in school and always struggled but I kept reminding myself that I knew the material and that I was ready to take this test. You can do this! You made it through nursing school now its just one more stepping stone to your new career as a NURSE!! :) Good Luck!

Good luck!!!

Hi all! I just did the PVT trick. It said "our records indicates that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member Board for assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time. "

What does that mean? Did I pass or no??

Thank you for your help!

It means.....:yelclap: CONGRATULATIONS!! :yelclap: Thats the "good" pop up

Wahoo, congratulations!

OH MY GOD! I can't believe it! This is my 2nd time attempt to NCLEX-RN. The first time was traumatizing that I almost knock myself to the wall. Thank you for all the prayers and good luck! I really appreciate it! Now I have to wait for 48 hours for the "unofficial" results from Pearson Vue. Finally, all the people out there taking NCLEX-RN! Good luck and don't ever feel anxious or scare. I know its hard to do it, I will post my study plan from first to second attempt. This isnt for me but am glad that it works.

OMG congrats so happy for you. Quick question what is the passing score for LaCharity I did see a recommended score?

Specializes in LTC.

Congrats!!!! You did it, Yay!!!

Thank you! I did not see a recommended score either for La Charity. I try to get 70% on each test which I set a passing score for myself. NCBSN and Kaplan Qbanks(free online) helps me a lot after I got my content right from Hurst Review.

Thank you. You give me hope. Second time around for me will be a success. Tomorrow is my last day for NCSBN, I couldn't afford the kaplan Qbank.

Thanks for the info. After I do the test where do I find the answers and rationales?

Specializes in Psych ICU, addictions.

According to lore, that means you passed :)

However, don't officially start the party until you hear from your state's BON, as I've also heard rare whispers that the trick doesn't always work. But more than likely, you did pass that exam.

Congratulations!
