NCLEX-RN help

Nursing Students NCLEX

So I’ve been studying for my NCLEX-RN for about 4-5 weeks now and I did my assessment today on uworld and it says I have a low chance of passing. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, what more I need to do, or how to even go about it. I haven’t received my authorization to test but it should be anytime soon within the next 2 or so weeks. I feel like I have been putting the work in but this assessment obviously proved that I have not been. What more can I do, I welcome any suggestions. Please help me

Have you been reading every single rationale whether you got the answer right or wrong? I found that to be very helpful. It is time consuming but I used UWorld solely and passed the NCLEX first try.

Thank you for responding. Yes I have been reading the rationales, I’ve also been taking notes in a notebook. I literally having mini panic attack about the fact that I might not get to where I need to be

The good news is you have not scheduled yet so take that pressure off yourself. Have you finished the entire question bank yet? I completed the entire bank before I tested as well as the 2 assessments. I also did an assessment on NRSNG just to have another predictor. If you are scoring low, you may need a content review. Look at how you are scoring in different areas and review anywhere you have deficiencies.

I have done about 900 questions so far. What content review do you recommend? I think the time frame I have is about 3 weeks to do it.

You have not even completed half of the bank yet. I would continue what you are doing and finish the whole test bank. Once you do that, take the other assessment and see where you are at.

Hi there, I’m no NCLEX expert but I can share that I used UWORLD a 30 day sub and did not complete the test bank. Instead I just did questions every day. Even the day before my exam I was doing questions. Some days I felt prepared. Other days I didn’t think I was ready. I did not have any assessment to see what my chances were of passing. I DID spend a little more time with prioritization and SATA. I passed in 75. One thing I will say is to read the rationales to understand why you got it right or wrong.

Hi! Don't worry too much about your result. I got borderline for passing from Uworld on both assessments and on my ATI I had like a 50% chance of passing. I ended up passing with 75 questions on my first try. I only used UWORLD and just read every rationale and made sure I understood why I got questions wrong. I actually went through all of the questions in UWORLD and I would always get around 50s for the quizzes. Every person is different. Just don't let the predictor affect your confidence and believe in yourself! I thought I failed the NCLEX because I felt like I was guessing on most of the questions. You got this! & if by any chance you do fail, there's always another chance and you will be able to see what your weakness(es) are.

How much time did you need in order to cover the entire question bank? I’m wondering which package I should subscribe for, it’s just so pricey. Any pointers from anyone would be very much appreciated.??

I covered it in less than a moth. I did about 100q a day. I wound up getting the 60 day subscription because I wanted the self assessments. The 30 day does not come with any assessments.

I would give equal weight temporarily with strategy as well as content, i would recommend kaplan absolutely with U world. go through all of the materials and read and understand the rationals. i took a 3 day kaplan--that alone helped me to immediately eliminate boatloads of bogus answers that i would have otherwise wrestled with for consideration. sometimes the correct answer even seems like the worst of the bunch. i am a 2 attempt passer, and utilizing this strategy i could see a progressive score increase. it paid off. my content is and has always been weak. you will never know everything. do not rush through anything. it is like trying to get to the top of a mountain from the bottom. you don't get to the top in one leap. it is step by step, and with strategy. this slow focused strategy worked for me and it will work for you.

Those are some valid points, my exam is the 2nd of October. I’ve been pushing it back but I have to take it now because I have a job lined up. I wish I could have afforded those content review. I believe it would have really helped me. I’m still not doing well on the questions and I feel so defeated
