hi to all nurses and aspiring nurses like me;)
i'll be taking my nclex-rn exam in 2 weeks and honestly, i'm having mild anxiety now.wooooooooahhh:uhoh3:
i didn't take any review course online, and just studied on my own.
i'm quite unsure of my preparation because i've been scoring average of 58-60 % only and i'm scared. i think this is not enough to reach my goal.
my target is 70% and up. what do you guys think???
putting your mind and all your attention into anything you are doing makes it great. focus! that's all i need.
plus keeping my faith and praying.
please include me in your prayers.
god bless y'all.

Good luck!! I feel your anxiety. I will be taking the NCLEX next month...waiting for my ATT right now. What sources have you been studying on your own?
Thank you 2011nursetobe!:)
Good luck to you in advance!
I've been using Saunders Comprehensive Lec & Q&A, PDA by LaCharity, Kaplan Nclex Strategies. QT Q's. how about you?

Thanks!
I'm using Lippincott's Q&A, Saundars Comprehensive, and going to be buying Lacharity and Strategies for Alternate Item Formats by Saundars. I am thinking about Kaplan Strategies because I've heard such great things about it. I am terrible at SATA and I am petrified everytime I read posts where people say they got 40 out of 75 SATA!!!! I rarely get them right while practicing.

Try and remember to relax, the nclex is unlike any test you have ever taken. Since you didnt take any reviews I suggest to take practice test each day. Know your lab values, med side effects, priortizing, and delegation. Also remember nclex is all about you getting more right than wrong. Forget about 70,80,90s. Take breaks during at exam. My plan was 125,200 and then finish if need be. i did pass first time, and so did my wife we both put these practices to work. Also remember if you should fail 90 days you retake it, unlike nursing school where you fail you are out. Study, relax, take breaks during the test you will be fine. When the test is over you will most likely think/feel like you failed , go home and try to register with pearson to take the exam one of 2 things will happen you will be directed to a page wanting credit card information:crying2: or a popup saying you have previously registered contact BON you passed if you get this. Good luck to you:)
ikr?!. i feel for you i'm weak on sata qs too. anyways lets just keep on practicing.:)
pda by lacharity is a must! kaplan strategies book is a great help too when it comes to answering q's on analysis and application level. i'm using the decision tree (critical thinking paths) as my guide.

The more select all that apply questions, the better. I think I got 15 out of 75 and passed.

Just try to relax..It is not as hard as evryone says. I took a review course, which was a waste of time, did about 3000 questions, tried to review content, was all over the place with my studying. Towards the end I was so tired and anxious I just couldn't focus, started off really good at 75-80% on the questions(150 at a time) but then it dropped to 65-70%..What sux about studying for the nclex is that that isnt really a "formula" Lol you never know whats gonna be on it. Yes there is a blue print but its very vague and the exam is different for everyone. Be confident and do your best you have plenty of time...I just took mine last week. Seeing that blue screen after the 75th question was such a relief but i was in denial Lol, I tried the trick and I didnt let me re-register but i didn't believe it til i saw the official results..status:PASS!!!! You can do it. Do not underestimate yourself!!

Hey! I just took NCLEX today and I just know I failed. I have had people tell me that if you fail then your provisionals will automatically be revoked so if you verify your license and it still says that you have a PL, you passed. Has anyone else heard of this?
