Do you need a license to practice as a RN or can you just how proof of passing NCLEX?
Oh Come on!!!! Are you kidding me???How can you have graduated from nursing school and taken the NCLEX without knowing that you DO need a license to practice?? Why would you have to take an exam to get a license if didn't need it? No critical thinking needed to figure this out honey, simply common sense!!!

I should have become a teacher!!!!
Thank you all so very much for your insights, comments and advices. Maybe I was indeed being a bit to negative. It is good to know that others have been thru this and survived lol and most importantly ended up finding a job. Of course "I'll won't give up, will keep trying, won't lose hope" Lol and will be back soon with good news!! Good luck to me and all of you!!!

I should have become a teacher!!!!
I am so discouraged....Applied for over 30 jobs online and no luck! It is impossible for a NEW GRAD RN to find a job in New Jersey..or maybe its just me. I've been looking for a month and 15 days now. These people don't understand that in order to have experience I need to start somehow. I've only had one job my whole life and only for a year and I know that it counts against me even though I'm in my very early 20's. I'm fed up with all the cliches: "keep trying, you can't lose hope, keep looking, you'll find something soon, good luck, just hang in there, keep networking, make sure you have good references...." Then you must be thinking: what do you want us to do? well I guess nothing..I just needed to let it out. at this point I don't even know what to think or expect. I sould have become a teacher!!!!!!!

Is it me...or is it impossible to get an interview and a job in NJ! :(
Hey guys YES I've searched everywhere before posting it here and there seems to be no jobs at ll for new grad RNs in New Jersey. I graduated in May, took my nclex in the beginning of July and haven't found a job yet. It is so frustrating and discouraging. Please help me if you know of any hospitals or clinics that are currently hiring new grads in NEW JERSEY!!!!! Thank you

NEW GRAD, somebody's gotta give me chance!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys, I passed my NCLEX and have been applying for jobs but they always require some experince. How can I have experince if nobody gives a job:confused: I have to start somewhere!! On top of that I've only had 2 insignificant jobs my entire life, one in high school, the other in 2009. I haven't worked ever since. I know I am only 22 but it is so frustrating. Not to mention that I've an Associates not a BSN but first I need a job to help me pay for my BSN next year. I understand that very soon all RNs will be required to have a BSN and I wanna go as far as my PhD but my priority right now is to find a job!! Please let me know of any graduate nurse positions in New Jersey Thank you

Help please
I never heard of it but I advise you using a software instead of a book because it better prepares you for the real nclex . You have to get used to answering questions on the computer. Also, time yourself, try to do 1 questions per minute. I don't know how long you've been studying but I took my NCLEX in the beginning of July and a few days prior to the exam i was so tired of studying, my scores went from high 70s to low 60s. It may be that your just overwhelmed. I used NCLEX 4000 and the questions were very similar to the ones I had on the Nclex. Remember to take breaks and don't go crazy trying to review everything. I did 3000 questions and took a review course, which was useless but I think I would've done just as good even if i did not study as much. The exam is not that bad. Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No experience! what to put on my resume???
Hey guys, I just took my neclex last week and haven't yet started applying for jobs because I wanna make sure i have a really good resume. The problem is that I don't have any experience. I've only had 2 jobs my whole life, one when I was 17, in an ice cream store at the airport, which i stayed in for 1 year, and the other one in a clothing store when I was 19, which I completely hated and quit after a couple of months. Soon after that, I started nursing school and haven't worked ever since. (By the way, I am 22). So I was thinking: What the H am I going to put on my resume?? How to make it attractive for prosopective employers? I've looked at some sites that have free nursing resume templates but most of them go too much in to details about previous jobs, skiils, career goals, etc. Please help me if you have any ideas, suggestions, sample resumes, or if you are or have been in the same situation. One last question: I know that there are a few nursing schools that dont' offer clinicas. Should I include my clinical experice while in school or it doesn't even count? Thank you

LONELINESS while in nursing school
Oh tell me about it!! I know how it feels, you do have to sacrifice alot but it definitely pays off.. I just finished school, took my nclex last week, still havent started applying for jobs because I need to work on my resume and I needed a lil break after all the hard work..Like me, you'll probably still have some friends after you graduate Lol Try to take it easy...there needs to be a balance. Had I been aware that 'Confidence' was really what was going to get me through nursing school(along with knowledge, of course), I'd have been able to cut my study time in half so I could have a near normal life Lol..you'll make a lot of friends at work, that's what I'm hoping for myself. Good luck!!

Nclex-Rn exam in 2 weeks
Just try to relax..It is not as hard as evryone says. I took a review course, which was a waste of time, did about 3000 questions, tried to review content, was all over the place with my studying. Towards the end I was so tired and anxious I just couldn't focus, started off really good at 75-80% on the questions(150 at a time) but then it dropped to 65-70%..What sux about studying for the nclex is that that isnt really a "formula" Lol you never know whats gonna be on it. Yes there is a blue print but its very vague and the exam is different for everyone. Be confident and do your best you have plenty of time...I just took mine last week. Seeing that blue screen after the 75th question was such a relief but i was in denial Lol, I tried the trick and I didnt let me re-register but i didn't believe it til i saw the official results..status:PASS!!!! You can do it. Do not underestimate yourself!!

my problem with allnurses...why so pessimistic?
Agreed!!

FINALLY!! I am an RN!!!!!!!!!
:tku: guys!!!!! Now I just need to find a job...the thing is that I don't like med-surg even though it's the core of nursing, especially for new grads. I'd love to work in maternity but I'm not sure they'd hire people without experience. I know I can't be very picky right now I just don't know how well I would function in med-surg as a new nurse im afraid to get overwhelmed. Btw I'm open to job offers Lol

FINALLY!! I am an RN!!!!!!!!!
Hey all Not that any of you care but I passed the NCLEX! Yay!!!!! Im an RN Last year I came here to share with you guys how bad I was feeling about the possibility of failing a nursing course(OB-PEDS) I needed an 82 on the last exam and at least an 80 on the final in order to pass and Guess what?? I did it!!!!!! and it wasn't the first time..I never gave up and it was worth it all..all the nights i stayed in studying instead of hanging out with frinds, the long hours i spent writing care plans..everything that i had to sacrifice so that now I can say I am a REGISTERED NURSE.
