I took my nclex this morning.. My computer shut off after 75 questions.. I THINK I FAILED... there were tons of priority question, safety precaution and enviroment, 1 med ( real easy) , 3 check all that applies. I went home and check the answer and I knew that I failed beacuse I have a feeling that I did horrible in the safety and infection control. Don't you have to pass all content area in order to pass? There were questions about mycoplasma pneumonia..which I was not sure about... The questions that they ask you on the NCLEX exam isnt so difficult However, it is the ANSWER choices that totally blew my mind!!! Even though I knew the content to a certain topic I was having the hardest time picking an answer beacuse they were soo tricky..
I have a question.. if in case of a emergeny.. who would u attent to first? a patient who is unconscious with dilated and fixed pupil or a patient who has eccohymosis and ridgit abdomen? I would guss the second one beacuse of internal bleeding?
I would say the baby with yellow pigmented eyes .. because that represents jaundice. The only reaspond i picked ths is because a 24 hour old baby who lost 3 oz is normal .. baby tend to lost a little weight the first day of life. I believe the equation for infant weight loss is
initial weight x present weight / initial weight
correct me if im wrong.!
I also have another question...which one would you consider abnormal and would attend to first?
a 16 hour old babie with yellow pigment in the eyes? or
a 24 hour old babie who lost 3oz?

To make you feel better, this sounds exactly like my nclex experience. To make it even better, after all the worrying I found out I passed on 9/29. So think positive, there's nothing you can do about it now. Priority questions are a good thing. Wish you the best of luck.
