Hi...I have also been waiting! It has been 1 week and 3 days for me! I know it doesn't matter, but how many questions did you get? Well, I hope we both pass, good luck!

Welcome to allnurses! This is an excellent site for all your nursing needs.

I just wanted to comment that those in CA do not have the luxury of quick results, so it might take a while for your license to show up. From what I understand, it can take anywhere from a few days to up to a month or more for your results to show up. I'm so sorry that you have to wait this long.

A word of advice: Be absolutely sure that the file you send in to the CA BON is complete. I know there is so much stuff that has to go in. Get the checklist and doublecheck to be sure that everything is included. If something is missing (transcripts, etc.) this could result in a holdup of your NCLEX test results, something you surely do NOT need.

I'm sorry to say this, but patience is the key when dealing with the CA BON.

i took the boards 2 days ago in cali. from others in my school and others at work i would say for those that pass 90% of them hear about it in 10-15 days. those that dont takes longer up to 30 days. but i do know one girl that did not hear anything for 22 days, she passed. some people see their names on the boards lic. verification but not most. they dont put it on there tell they send out your lic. in the mail. if they mail it on friday you might see it on there just before you get it in the mail. i noticed there were alot of people taking it when i took it. the computers were always full. as soon as i got up someone was there waiting for my spot. that might make it take longer if there is a lot of people taking at the same time. how was it at your test center?

My test center was pretty busy, everytime some finished, the seat was immedietly taken. My friend from school and I took it at the same time. He found out already. Out of everyone in my class that took the exam, 10 out of 12 of them found out through the website in 4 days exactly. The other one found out in 10 days, and of course I am still waiting! I just don't understand what is going on? I took the test in July and got failing results. So I know for sure the BRN has all my paperwork.

Oh yeah, one more thing... Are questions about malfunctioning machines considered priority?

yeah thats the way it goes most find out quick but doesnt mean you failed. in my class 21 took it and all but 5 got results in 10 days or less. of those five i know 2 passed but didnt get results till well after everyone else. the others i dont know what happend to them. i think this is a busy time for them getting the results out, seems a lot are taking their boards now. did your friend finish before you, if so by how long.(not question but time wise)

as for the question i would think not a priority. because its not related to a patient. but it depends on what exactly they are asking. sounds more like a possible safety question. its the 3rd day of waiting for me but no worries. if it goes past 20 days i might start to worry and call to see if my file is all good but until then just going to play a little. hehehe

Just because you know that they have your paperwork, did you verify that they have everything with your fingerprints? There have been issues with this in the past.

If you do not hear in 10 days to two weeks, my suggestion is to contact them and make sure that your file is complete. If it is missing one little thing, they will not notify you, and your results will be held up.

My friend finished about 45-60 minutes before me...I just thought it was a priority question cause these machines were hooked up to patients, and could cause life threatening complications. But anyways, good luck to all those who are waiting! Let everyone know if they find out anything...

Thank you so much with your responses. Gosh, I know I am over reacting after last night... I was just pourin' my eyes out because I didnt find my name in the CA BON Verification of License... But thanks for the messages, it alleviated a little bit of my worries. I took the exam last Sept 24, and my exam almost ended for 5 hours... I think it stopped 45 mins before it ended .... They all consists of prioritizing.. Not so much on the delegation part..... God, it was so hard... Right now, I am really "literally" so scared to go home ... finding a letter from the Boards about me not passing.... WHAT A TREACHEROUS WORLD.... lol...

I am still praying and hope... Anyway, good luck to you... And for all of those who are still waiting ....

Priority questions are a very good thing. There are many that do not get their passing results for three weeks or even longer.

Are you a graduate of a US program, specifically CA?

Unfortunately I did not graduate in the US. I finished my nursing in the Philippines. :)
