I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about studying NCLEX reviews before attending nursing school? Would it be helpful? Would it be hurtful? Thanks!

It never hurts to read ahead of time. And since you have yet to start nursing school my advice would be to do NCLEX for fundamentals. You do need to have read the chapter for which you are doing the questions so that you don't get lost in the maze!

Is focus on pre-reqs right now. There will be enough time for NCLEX review questions once you start NS.

I agree with aubgurl. If you looked at NCLEX questions, you may not have the knowledge base yet to be able to logic through it.
I like the idea of fundamentals questions. They have a book on amazon on how to make it through nursing school. I recommend that because it talks about good test taking skills, how to study, etc.

Yeah, I don't think it would be helpful or hurtful...just time that could've been better spent elsewhere.
Nursing school is like building a house of cards; EVERYTHING you do depends on the foundation you've built underneath. If you have extra time on your hands, I don't think you'd ever regret using it to dig deeper into your prereqs like anatomy, physiology, and microbiology. They're oh-so important and you won't have that extra time when you get into nursing school. :)
