NCLEX results in California

Nursing Students NCLEX

I am taking the NCLEX December 1. How long has it taken other nurses to receive their results from the CA Board of Nursing?

seven days. here's the link.

http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800

just type your name in there. if you find it, you're blessed.

But some say you dont get the results until after two weeks. Some say they receive their results by mail. Well, my colleagues who took the exam waited seven days and they had their results.

PS. we are all foreign grads. And we all have SSN#

Doesn't have to mention SSN. As I said Ca will only issue a license with a SSN so if no license issued then your name will not come up. We even have had members get results before they see their name on website. If you do not hear anything in 2 weeks then ring them as there maybe something wrong with your file

Does anyone know how much longer it takes CA to process the test results and give out an RN license for someone who went to a non-CA American nursing school? I went to school on Pennsylvania, moved back home to CA, and have submitted my license application for CA. Still waiting for my PTT number...

If you are in Ca, and attended CA schools, then you are looking at anywhere from 4 days to a month.

If you are a foreign grad, then you are looking at about one week, plus the time that it takes for them to mail the envelope to your home. Without a SSN#, you will only get the letter, since an actual license is not issued without it.

Not sure by your user name, which category that you fall into. There is no set time frame for California.

Do you know if you can take NCLEX in CA if you attended nursing school (BSN) in another state within the U.S.?

Thank you.

You just need to apply to the BRN and wait for ATT. As long as your training in the other state meets Ca requirements no reason why you can't attend in one state and sit exam in another. In fact many do

I imagine one factor would be how quickly your PA school responds with sending your transcripts to the CA board. Many people are delayed because they have to follow up with multiple requests to get documentation before the board. Good luck.

Sorry.. I got it now... The BON will only issue a license if you have a SSN... And that the link doesn't need to ask the SSN.. my bad...

Thanks for all the replies! I mailed my paperwork on Dec.23rd, and got my ATT in my email on Dec.31st. Talk about good turnaround time and even with the holidays!! Now I just have to decide when to test....any advice??

The training programs I'm applying for start either mid Feb or mid March, and do take interim permits.

I took NCLEX-RN on Feb 4 and I was just wondering... can you take NCLEX without school sending transcript first???? still havne't seen my name on the web site. I heard the budget is cut so it may take longer. I'm scared. mine stop at 75 and there were lots of priority and bout 8-9 select all that apply. There was not any easy questions that I know or remember. how would you know that you did well or not. some say if you don't do well then the questions will become easier.

CA will permit a graduate of a CA program to test before they have received transcripts provided that your name is on a roster that they submit.

However, you will not be able to obtain your results until they have received your transcripts and then have reviewed your completed file. What you are seeing on their website are licenses that have been issued and they cannot issue one without your transcripts.

This has nothig to do with any cut-backs, but what has been in place for quite sometime.

There is actually no way at all to determine if one has passed the exam until you get your results, it is impossible to second guess anything about.

Best of luck to you while you wait for your results.
