So, just like everyone else I feel miserable. I am a great critical thinker,quick on my feet, a problem solver and not good at memorization. My test shut off at 85 and at 70 I was thinking, "well, maybe I will get 30 more questions and I can pull this off" No luck, whammo, shut down at 85...i didn't cry, I didn't think anything except how did I get through everything no knowing this stuff? I studied the Pearson online tests we got, Lippnecott, and others. I was averaging 78%
My test was mental health (which we didn't study a lot of in LPN), Mom baby,and drugs....I had about 5 SATA...which I never get right and a ton of "what would you do first" and "who gets the private room". I'm bummed that there were things I had no idea of. Drugs I had never heard of. and no clues to help. Honestly I'm pretty sure I will be taking it again. I'm trying to just let it go...I know I will be a good nurse and that much of the learning comes from working and asking.
Now on to the final leg of my journey - finding a job.
For anyone who has to wait 3-4 weeks to find out, I suggest checking your state BON website. Mine (PA) showed me being issued a license the next day, even though it will be a few more weeks before they mail me my physical license. I was able to print out a page showing my name and license #, so I can at least show a potential employer that I'm an LPN (I do have a legal GPN license from the state).
I took my Nclex-PN in CA last Thursday and computer shut off @ 125 Qs. I'm still waiting for my result, I hope I pass too getting so nervous everyday, pray for me everyone.
Best of luck to you, but do be aware that you are going to be waiting about a month for an envelope to arrive in the mail. That is the only way that you will be able to see your results.
Good Luck! I took my nclex-pn exam here in Ca on January 13th and my test stopped at 165! Yikes! I got my envelope on January 23rd. I passed!! I could not believe how fast I got my results, so maybe it depends on how busy they are over there at the BVNPT. Just stay busy and think positive!! Will be praying for you!
took my nclex pn test last week, and its my 3rd time taking it =(
the first time my computer stopped at 163 (ithink) the second time 205 and this time it stopped somewhere around 115. im really worried because this time i felt that i prepared myself more than i did the other 2 times, but at the same time i didnt get any calculations ( my white board was empty compared to the other times ive taken it) not alot of common diseases like last times. alot of alzheimers questions and psychological disorders. a few medications.alot of prioritizing and deglagation. but why does it seem like my last 2 tests were harder than this one.. but yet this one also seemed hard... i dont know i think ill be really bummed it i stopped at 115 and failed cause i felt that i studied really hard for this one. argh,, i just had to vent. thanks for reading.

Congratulations. I took my test 2 days ago and it stopped @ 85 too. just have to wait 3-4 weeks for my results..
