HI! I have taken the NCLEX PN 3 times and failed every single one of them. I have numerous books to study from and taken 2 courses of Lifesavers and still.. failed. I am so discouraged. I have been trying to pass this test since I graduated back in 2005. I really want to pass this test this time and I just dont know what to anymore. Please.. any advice would be useful. Thanks.. :crying2:

Wait... Did you take your test already? If so, what happened? When?

Yes, I took mine on the 27th with 86 questions. I had a lot of SATA, Meds, Contact Precautions, The what would you have charted that helped your client that will save your ass if you get sued, no med calcs or maternity (my two strengths). Just called again and he said they are on the 23rd but its not updated yet. Going to call again later. This is toture!!!

Did you get your results?!?

Yes I got them the same day you posted you called them. I passed... So happy, I am

Just waiting for my actual license! What about you?

Not yet!! Waiting anxiously, I graduate tomorrow and would love for them to announce me as LVN. Your giving me hope though!!

Thanks a lot =)

Try answering in this form, use your ABCs and then if that's not the answer then look for Maslows! Those two things I took into consideration when I would choose an answer. Take a month off from studying and clear your mind before studying again. Then once you start studying make sure you don't over study. Once you see that you're frustrated and you're not grasping the material then stop, and rest for a few days before you start up studying again. Hope this helps and good luck

This is fantastic advice! :) Thank you so much for sharing!

Has anyone tried sycamorenurses.com? I have not taken my NCLEX for LVN since I graduated in 08 and I really want to take it now. But I've been advised to take a refresher course before I take the test. Has anyone taken the review course from here and has passed the boards?

I've done the Sycamore Nurses Review Course in LA location and I took my NCLEX-PN last Monday. Still waiting for my results.. As for the class, I'd say it's very informative. I'd advise...Do prepare yourself before you take the course. Good luck! :)

what's the update?have you done the test yet?if not yet there's this classes by readytopass.com there're in NY and GA area respectively.try to do 200 to 300 different questions and most of all read all the rationales because they're a mini study as you go.and try and find the link between the question and ans..it's not that you did not study..but i think it's because you don't understand the question...and now the NCLEX are changing the format again this April 2014..so be sure to review the new format too..by that i mean they are changing the way they ask the questions.take care, and good luck.

Hello! If some of you potential RNs are having problems studying or need a guide on how to study I recommend attending Guizot Gibberish's sessions. He reviews all systems, peds, mental health, maternity, delegation, etc. very thorough and highly recommended to aid in your studying. His course is about a month long, 3 times a week from 9-3 in Hamilton Ontario

hey i wanted to know if you are a nurse now and if i can ask what's the questions like when you took your board

Use the NCLEX Mastery APP. Don't try to memorize the study guides you are using.
