NCLEX-PN July 2016 and PVT

Published

Hi. I took the NCLEX-PN on July 11,2016 at 8AM. I'm not even sure what number of questions my computer stopped at cause after 85 I just kept answering until a few questions after it just shut down. So I would say I probably stopped at 90. Is there a good chance of failing or passing at that rate? I remember having 2 drag and drop. 1 calculation which was a confusing question, honestly. (I reread it so much that after the exam I can still remember the question and still tried solving it. Haha!) I had one EKG strip. I had a couple of SATA. Everything else I don't even remember. It just felt like the questions were so simple but hard to answer. Idk if I just didn't study harder or it's my anxiety that's causing that. I used the NCSBN review btw. Took the 5-week course. Just did purely questions as advised by my friends who passed the RN. (I can't take RN in Cali cause I still have to do more units. Graduated BSN in Phil.)

Anyways so after the exam I know there are no Quick Results in Cali and I've read some trends about the PVT. I was skeptical to do it cause I'm so scared that I'll get the bad pop up. Haha. But today I'm so anxious that I can't wait for the results. Does it take 3 or 4 weeks? Idk.

So, I tried it this morning, (3 days after my exam) I used a valid debit card but it had less than $200 in it. I entered my info submitted my order and got the Good pop up! Saying that "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration can not be made at this time. I probably clicked the submit order button a hundred times to make sure. CxerDywLBhjEwUWixq9SAVBg0MrOLQQIO4kcEBB7hyigwOBQQAOw==DOes this "possibly" mean that I passed? Even tho my card had insufficient funds? I don't want to rely on the PVT but it'll give me some peace of mind while waiting for the actual results! Thanks. how does that work?

Did you take the NCLEX-PN as well? Anyways, I think it works on both ways RN and PN. You try to register again on the Pearson Vue website. Just like how you registered before you took the exam. Then it would take you to the Credit card screen. You put in all your CC info. I used a valid card but with less than $200 funds. Then hit the Submit Order Button. If it does not make you register or its says "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time" this is what they call the Good Pop up which possibly means you Passed cause it won't let you register again. If it lets you register and takes your money you possibly failed.

From what I've read, they said it's more accurate 24 hours after the exam. I didn't wanna do mine. I was scared to get a Pop up other than that. But I still did it anyways, 3 days after I took the test. Got the Good pop up. And just received my results yesterday one week after the exam that I passed.

Congratulations! No, I took the NCLEX-RN last July and failed.. I'm browsing comments and reviews regarding nclex so that i'll have new ideas on how to take a different approach in studying for nclex.. thanks for the info!

Thanks!! Unfortunately, I can't take the NCLEX-RN here in Cali without going back to school. But I have college friends who took the RN exam in another state. They failed the first time. So they used the NCSBN learningext. Did pure questions and just kept reanswering the questions til the whole course was done as they were advised to do so. So I tried it too for my PN. Their computer shut off at 75 questions and passed! Goodluck! You got this!! ;)

I also watched videos of procedures from ATI btw. :)

mcr30, first figure out the correct answer and talk out loud why the correct answer is true and the incorrect answers are false. (Ask yourself did i have the knowledge but did not know how to approach the question or did have knowledge but misread the question) only you can evaluate. Next, look at the incorrect answers and create separate questions to make each false incorrect answer a true correct answer. Lastly, highlight the phrases or keywords of the distractors, traps, and ways the incorrect questions tricked you and pay attention. (If you are using uworld)

to help with stress and anxiety listen to some self compassion meditation (prefer compassion meditation instead of regular meditation) and study in small chunks + space repetition. Last, take power naps in between. You will do fine net time. I am cheering for you. I hope this helps :)

I passed. Already have my Actual LVN license and will now start working as an LVN in a few days! :D Worth the Wait!!
