I'm taking my NCLEX on March 11th. I graduated December 16th and wanted enough time to study. I've started using Uworld (Love it!), I've used Kaplan, LaCharity and Lippincotts Alternate Questions. I'm still not super motivated which worries me. I'm doing pretty well on Uworld, Kaplan is hard 😖 but I'm pushing onward.
Anybody else taking their NCLEX in March? What's working for you and what's not? Those of you who have already taken it...was it what you expected? RNs UNITE!!!
I took my Nclex earlier this month, and passed with 75 questions! I wanted to know what everyone did to prepare. I also wanted to know what worked, and what did not work for them. So I'll share with you my method. I mainly used U-world, Hurst, and a prioritization book by LaCharity. I truly feel like these three things helped me the most. I dabbled in Saunders, Kaplan, and NCSBN; however, I don't feel that those things helped me. Nclex is not an easy test. The biggest thing is get your major content down and then focus on questions. Read the rationale (even on those that you've got right). It will help you to narrow it down on test day. Best of luck!
Hello!
i also graduated 12/17/16 and am taking my test in March! I am so happy to see other people taking theirs in March because some days I feel I waited too long! I am using strictly Kaplan. I have yet to take the readiness test and am very anxious to do so. Generally scoring 54-70% in Kaplan and have averaged around 60-61% for Q bank questions. I am hoping for the best and trying to stay positive!
I'm a foreign graduate nurse. Did my nursing in 2008, then my BSN in 2012, and cardiac speciality in 2013. I'm also writing my NCLEX in March, started off with Saunders (studied most of it during 2 months, few chapters still left though), but had to start off with UWorld, since I barely have 2 weeks left. Any suggestions??? and how do you guys find out the percentile and progress on UWorld.
