NCLEX June 2018

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey all! First off, congrats to everyone who graduated this year (and those who graduated in any previous year)!!! My day was May 11th, and it still feels so surreal. Also unreal. Probably because I'm busting my butt studying for this crazy NCLEX thing that's looming on the horizon! In that regard, it feels like nothing has changed haha.

I scheduled my NCLEX for mid-June, because everything else that was available felt too late or too early, and I'm still feeling skeptical about the day I chose. But it's definitely motivated me to keep a decent study schedule going. And if anything, like if I feel super unprepared, I can always reschedule to a later date, but I'm trying to avoid this. I've been using UWorld, trying to do at least 50 questions a day, and then doing questions/reviewing Saunders on 3 specific systems a day, just to brush up on it. I also plan to start utilizing Mark Klimek's audios when I find time to sit and listen. The week before the NCLEX, once my review of systems is (hopefully) complete, I will do at least 150 questions a day. Then, like many others, I will not study at all the day before the exam, and Monday, June 11th is the big day!

That being said, I saw a bunch of other threads for people who were taking the NCLEX during a specific month, so I thought I'd go ahead and do the same for the month of June! I like the idea of us building each other up, supporting each, crying to each other, offering insight or advice or tips that we may know... the list goes on. Anybody taking the NCLEX in the month of June, or even early July? Anybody freaking out like me??? "RN" is so close I can almost taste it! Ahhhhhh!

Hello! I too graduated on May 10 of this year and took my nclex on June 7. Today I found out I passed after waiting 48 long hours for the results!!! I can say UWORLD def was the only thing I used to prepare for this test and it didnt let me down. I was only scoring in the 40-60s range for each exam I made and did not buy the self assessment because I did fairly well on the RN Exit and CAT exam we had during the last month of school. I also worked full time as I was studying and would at least do 40-75q each day for 2 and a half weeks before my exam. I really focused on reading the rationales even when I got them right just to see if I was thinking the right things. At my school we did HESIs and we had a HESI NCLEX live review for 3 days that went over everything we learned in nursing school on the last week of school, which I thought really helped to understand test taking strategies which really helped me in a lot of questions I did on UWORLD. I only probably did 1300qs on UWorld. I did not study the day before my exam and just chose to relax so I wouldnt feel too anxious even tho I was already really anxious anyway haha. I was a nervous wreck the day of the exam which i scheduled to take in the afternoon and after the exam I still felt like I failed because I went over 75qs (even though i knew the number of questions didnt matter it still made me worry even more) and I even cried after taking the exam lol. It was truly the most difficult exam I've done but it probably was due to the fact I thought it mattered so much so I was just really overthinking too much. Some tips would be to just relax and remember nursing school has prepared us for the NCLEX since day 1, we really do know more than we think we do, dont be too hard on yourself, do your best on the exam, dont overthink, and use those test taking strategies to make educated guesses if youre stuck! Goodluck guys and Congratulations to everyone who has made it this far and who passed the NCLEX!

Congragulations to you I`m happy for you.. I hope I will pass it too.. mine is gonna be next week hhhhh I am so scared, but I wanna do it.. I don't wanna wait too long I`m tired ahhhh

all the best today on your exam. I am looking for a study group or partner. i took my nclex third time and i did not pass. I live in san antonio tx

What methods have you used to study? I'm taking my exam Friday I am freaking out and all I'm doing is UWORLD. I'm on my second time doing all the questions. I also did some saunders questions too.

I did saunders, hurst review. I listened to mark klemiks audio three times before taking my third exam. I had a lot of sata questions on my third attempt. I really need a partner to study with this time around.

I'll let you know how Friday goes but maybe you should buy UWORLD and try that its something different and gives very good rationales!

I'm retaking mine in Julyy!

For anyone who still needs to take the NCLEX: Don't worry too much if you don't have a ton of select all that apply. I passed in 75 questions and only had about 6-8 SATA (I didn't keep track but think it was around there). I did have a lot of prioritization questions though. Don't stress out about it too much! If you didn't learn it in school, you're probably not going to learn it now by cramming. Just relax. That's my only regret about the whole process. I was so nervous that I was miserable. You know this stuff! Go kill it!

I needed that because I am definitely freaking! My brain hurts and I just want to take this test already it's exhausting í ½í¸«

I took mine today. My stopped at 101, I had 25 select all that apply, no ecg and only a couple of med questions. No dosing calc or delegation which surprised me. Got the good pop up about 3 hours after I finished.

Good luck everyone!

Hello :)

So I took the NCLEX today for the second time. Both times got 265. I couldnt believe I got 265 again today. I was bummed after! BUT

I got the good pop up and I also got an email from LARA of my nursing lic.... But I do NOT believe I actually passed.

And I am so shocked I already got my nursing license that fast!! It hasnt even been 24 hours!

Am I crazy that I am still waiting a pass from Pearson even though I got my nursing license.

Good luck to everyone taking it!
