NCLEX June 2018

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey all! First off, congrats to everyone who graduated this year (and those who graduated in any previous year)!!! My day was May 11th, and it still feels so surreal. Also unreal. Probably because I'm busting my butt studying for this crazy NCLEX thing that's looming on the horizon! In that regard, it feels like nothing has changed haha.

I scheduled my NCLEX for mid-June, because everything else that was available felt too late or too early, and I'm still feeling skeptical about the day I chose. But it's definitely motivated me to keep a decent study schedule going. And if anything, like if I feel super unprepared, I can always reschedule to a later date, but I'm trying to avoid this. I've been using UWorld, trying to do at least 50 questions a day, and then doing questions/reviewing Saunders on 3 specific systems a day, just to brush up on it. I also plan to start utilizing Mark Klimek's audios when I find time to sit and listen. The week before the NCLEX, once my review of systems is (hopefully) complete, I will do at least 150 questions a day. Then, like many others, I will not study at all the day before the exam, and Monday, June 11th is the big day!

That being said, I saw a bunch of other threads for people who were taking the NCLEX during a specific month, so I thought I'd go ahead and do the same for the month of June! I like the idea of us building each other up, supporting each, crying to each other, offering insight or advice or tips that we may know... the list goes on. Anybody taking the NCLEX in the month of June, or even early July? Anybody freaking out like me??? "RN" is so close I can almost taste it! Ahhhhhh!

I found out yesterday that I passed and my license posted two hours later!!

I am so scared. I took my nclex today ended in 75 questions I had maybe 10 multiple multiple and I feel like my test had easy questions the whole time so I'm nervous I didn't pass because they where easy.... someone help😆

I took NCLEX yesterday and I am really sure I bombed it. Shut off at 76. Really!!! The moment that the screen pop up the invitation for taking the research question, I was staring at it, gaping like a fish, wondering what just happened, screaming silently in my head that I want to go back and keep taking question.

I got more or less about 10 SATA, 2 EKG, no math, the rest is MC. There's lots of priority and teaching stuff. I feel like the questions were not super difficult and really basic ( content wise). But the hard thing was the answers were very vague and similar so I had a hard time picking the right one, especially with SATA. Or maybe cause I answered too many questions wrong and it still gave me easy ones. I had many questions about PED, the subject that I hate and is my weakest one. Seems like the evil test knows where to hit.

So I am waiting for my result. But I have a nagging feeling that I failed. Because to shut off that quick like that, either I did amazingly that the computer decided that right there or so horribly that it grew impatient and kick me out lol. And I don't think I'm that good.

I had 75q took it on Thursday and I felt the same way, I ended up passing! I thought I failed because I got more teaching than prioritization. Pearson Vue Trick worked for me!

That test sounds just like mine....I took mine yesterday and my test has said it's on hold so idk what's going on

i took my nclex today and at around 11 the person due sent the email stating that i have completed the test. i tried the PVT and got the good pop-up. i had about 12 SATA and 10 Priority, 1 to put in order and a few meds. no math or hotspot question or cardiac strips.

my test shut off at 90, and idk how i feel about it because 90 is such an odd number; i mean i haven't heard of anyone who stopped at 90 and passed...

if the pop-up is valid that means im good i hope... :/

does anyone know how fast the BON posts the license numbers online? the wait is killing me

I just got my results after a long 3.5 days of waiting and I passed!! Did NOT think I did since I only had about 8 SATA and maybe 5 priority and 1 delegation I ! Keep your heads up if you need any help let me know!

I took the NCLEX this afternoon! I finished in 75 questions; around 15 select-all-that-apply and 2 ordered response, as far as I can remember. I used Kaplan to study. I had the good pop-up earlier today, so fingers crossed!

yeah finally I took my NCLEXRN today, I had 75 questions. about 22 SATA questions, lots of Ob/pediatrics, psch, some meds may be about 6 and a lot of prioritization and therapeutic communication type questions and patient education/teaching, 3 math, 2 strips, 1 hot spot question. I felt like I got every thing ahhhh. but it wasn`t that bad, I was thinking it gonna be very hard and tough. I tried the PV trick and got the good pop up.. I have no idea if I passed or not.. I have to wait for 48 hrs, and to me it`s like 48 years ahhhhh.... I used UWORLD, and LaCharity book "Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment" believe me both are amazing.

Good luck to your exam .. just stay positive and do your best.. don`t rash take your time/breaks.. NCLEXRN is not that bad, it is safety test.. so if you know your content you will be fine. before your test, just try to do a lot of practice questions specially priority/delegation is very important. infection control.. pay attention to life-threating situations like airway problems/spinal cord injuries etc.. NOTE: don't wait too long! do you hear me?!! yes, I said: don't wait too long! you can do this, you have the knowledge you`re a nurse and this test is your staff nothing new to you.. your license is right there waiting for you, so go and get it, alright, and put these tow letters after your name, RN... Good luck guys.. You can do it!

Hey guys! I wrote my NCLEX RN exam yesterday as well and it stopped at 218 questions. I tried the PVT trick about 3 hours later, and got the "good pop up". I tried a couple of times with 2 different credit cards and was getting it over and over again until about 5:08PM. However, at 6:45, when I checked again after I got home - it changed to "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time."

I'm freaking out about what this means! I have read a number of forums online that say, that it could be because of some discrepancy with the palm scanner or computer or whiteboards. I did use A LOT of whiteboards, and I didn't know if you could ask for a new one, so on my very first whiteboard, after I used it I try to erase the stuff on it with tissues that I took to my desk, and I guess the examiner saw and she came in with a new white board to give me, and I'm like thats perfect! And I kept putting up my hand each time I wanted a new white board. But I don't know I'm scared to check the pop up again because someone said that if you keep checking, it could flag the system as well. Can someone help?!!

hello i took mine yesterday 265 question its insane lot of SATA i finish the whole 265 for 5 hours AND 30 minutes.I'm freaking nervous now i been checking the PVT its always says on hold cant make another registration i dont know what to do what to expect. There's a power outage at the middle of the test took like 5 minutes all the computer shut down. i don't know if its because of that its still on hold.

i just want to know if a pass or failed agony is over waiting for result worst done taking the exam.

does anybody same issues share please?

Hi Future nurses!

So I never comment on forums BUT after the dreadful 24 hours I just experienced I figured I'd share my experience. I took my Nclex June 19th, mine shut off at 75 and it took me about 1 hour and 45 mins. A little background on me I was an A student all through nursing school but I had to work my butt off studying it didn't come easy. I used U- world to study, I did finish the entire Qbank. I started using U-world 2 weeks before I graduated nursing school so around April 20th or so. I only would do a couple of questions I didn't take it too seriously since I was still in school. When I first started with u-world I scored around 56-59%. After finishing school May 8th, then I really took it seriously and I would do 75 questions and I scored all over the 60's. I did not do questions every day because it was taking forever to get my ATT number and I was afraid that I would use up all my questions and not test until July!!! I finally ended up getting my ATT June 4th, I had about 2 and a half weeks. From that point, I did 75 questions every day and after I finished a test I would go over the rationales and write down notes on stuff that was new to me and on topics I got wrong. I also received one of the Mark Klimek audios and I listened to all the audios. Those are the only two things I used. So by the time I finished the U world Qbank I was scoring in the high 60's and low 70's and ended up in the 89th percentile. However, when I did my assessment I got a "really high passing prediction" but I was only on the 77th percentile. That bummed me out because I assumed I would have been in a higher percentile, but oh well I didn't let that psyche me out.

NCLEX DAY: My exam was at 8 am, that test is a beast. I had so many PEDS (on u-world this is where I scored the lowest, go figure), no math, one order question, a few priority, very few teaching maybe, psych, legality, and a handful of SATA. SO to me, the test felt very similar to the HESI where the subject was easy but your answer choices were so vague or I was stuck between two. For me the type of questions I got were very difficult which I was ok with because I've heard that you don't want the test to be easy, you want those high-level questions. HOWEVER, towards the end of the test, I felt like my questions were SUPER easy and that's when I panicked. I thought I was going below that imaginary passing line. I had to step away from the computer and head to the bathroom to pray and calm my nerves down. I came back I sat down and just kept on answering. Once I hit next on question 75 my screen went blank. I left out of that place crying I thought I failed it because I thought that test was extremely difficult until I got to the third half and then I thought it was easy. SO if this happens to you do not panic because what you might consider easy might be really difficult for someone else! SO DO NOT FREAK OUT. My friend convinced me to so the "Pearson VUE trick" and I got the good pop-up!! That did calm me down but of course, I still had my doubts, UNTIL 730 am this morning when I saw my license number on my state license website. BTW I took the test with two other classmates one went to 75 & another to 265 they both did the Pearson trick and got the "good pop up" &&&& they BOTH passed as well this morning! Good luck and hope this brings relief to someone that was in the same position as me. Also, pray & have faith!
