NCLEX June 2018

Published

Hey all! First off, congrats to everyone who graduated this year (and those who graduated in any previous year)!!! My day was May 11th, and it still feels so surreal. Also unreal. Probably because I'm busting my butt studying for this crazy NCLEX thing that's looming on the horizon! In that regard, it feels like nothing has changed haha.

I scheduled my NCLEX for mid-June, because everything else that was available felt too late or too early, and I'm still feeling skeptical about the day I chose. But it's definitely motivated me to keep a decent study schedule going. And if anything, like if I feel super unprepared, I can always reschedule to a later date, but I'm trying to avoid this. I've been using UWorld, trying to do at least 50 questions a day, and then doing questions/reviewing Saunders on 3 specific systems a day, just to brush up on it. I also plan to start utilizing Mark Klimek's audios when I find time to sit and listen. The week before the NCLEX, once my review of systems is (hopefully) complete, I will do at least 150 questions a day. Then, like many others, I will not study at all the day before the exam, and Monday, June 11th is the big day!

That being said, I saw a bunch of other threads for people who were taking the NCLEX during a specific month, so I thought I'd go ahead and do the same for the month of June! I like the idea of us building each other up, supporting each, crying to each other, offering insight or advice or tips that we may know... the list goes on. Anybody taking the NCLEX in the month of June, or even early July? Anybody freaking out like me??? "RN" is so close I can almost taste it! Ahhhhhh!

Hi,

I scheduled mine for mid June as well. Am starting to panic a little bit. I do about 75 u world questions daily and I watch the summit college videos too.

I don't see a thread for May (naturally, seeing as it's almost over) so I'll sneak in here ;) I was going to schedule mine for June, but I got my ATT late last week and scheduled it for the day after Memorial Day! I'm the kind of person who does poorly the longer I wait to take a test because I get so anxious and end up wasting a lot of time on ineffective studying because my testing anxiety causes me to lose focus.

I am very excited to be done with studying for this test, I have been doing the virtual ATI review non-stop since I graduated in mid-May. I've been getting very strong scores on the review and I got an 80% score and a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX after taking my Predictor today. I'm just going to do some questions on a couple of areas that I still feel foggy on today and tomorrow, then kick back and relax on Memorial Day! I'm hoping to make a celebratory post by the end of the week with my results!!

All the best to you on your test day and please don't fail to come back and tell us how it went.

I will! I'm praying to be done in 75!

Best of luck to you!!! I'm the same exact way, I didn't want to wait too long to take mine, but I also didn't want to take it too soon, either (that made me equally anxious lol). June 11th is exactly one month from my graduation day, and also my anniversary of graduating from high school, so I thought it was a somewhat significant day haha.

Doing so well on ATI is awesome!! Good for you! I struggled with ATI through school although I attribute that in part to it being notoriously a pain, and nobody really cared for it. I actually haven't utilized the virtual ATI all that much, but I've heard that a) it's not that great, and sometimes your assigned person isn't super helpful, and b) it's much harder than the NCLEX itself, which isn't such a bad thing, but I don't want to overwhelm or discourage myself either. It sounds that it has really helped you though, so I may take some time to look into it more!

All in all, it sounds like you are very prepared, and I think you're gonna kill it! Enjoy your weekend, and go in there knowing you are gonna kick its butt! Good luck, and I look forward to seeing that celebratory post! ;)

I wish you the best of luck. I too had my PN Nurse Pinning Ceremony on 05/03 and Graduated was on 05/10. I have been studying for the NCLEX since May 8. I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on June 4; I am so excited and ready.

I will come back and post my results as well.

ATI is a HUGE pain in the rear. With the virtual ATI review I have been LIVING in ATI world non-stop, which I think is one of the only ways to make ATI work for you. I never got it or did that well on it until I started using it all the time and really doing the focused reviews and extra learning activities. Also, I've been fortunate to have a very responsive and helpful coach - one of my friends is having a horrible time getting her coach to respond in a timely way.

It sounds like you're doing what's best for you with scheduling your NCLEX! I hope it goes really well for you and that we will all be celebrating being RN's soon :)

Hi,

Bebedlolo,

I am sure you will do just fine. Stay focused. Stay Positive.
