NCLEX June 2018

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey all! First off, congrats to everyone who graduated this year (and those who graduated in any previous year)!!! My day was May 11th, and it still feels so surreal. Also unreal. Probably because I'm busting my butt studying for this crazy NCLEX thing that's looming on the horizon! In that regard, it feels like nothing has changed haha.

I scheduled my NCLEX for mid-June, because everything else that was available felt too late or too early, and I'm still feeling skeptical about the day I chose. But it's definitely motivated me to keep a decent study schedule going. And if anything, like if I feel super unprepared, I can always reschedule to a later date, but I'm trying to avoid this. I've been using UWorld, trying to do at least 50 questions a day, and then doing questions/reviewing Saunders on 3 specific systems a day, just to brush up on it. I also plan to start utilizing Mark Klimek's audios when I find time to sit and listen. The week before the NCLEX, once my review of systems is (hopefully) complete, I will do at least 150 questions a day. Then, like many others, I will not study at all the day before the exam, and Monday, June 11th is the big day!

That being said, I saw a bunch of other threads for people who were taking the NCLEX during a specific month, so I thought I'd go ahead and do the same for the month of June! I like the idea of us building each other up, supporting each, crying to each other, offering insight or advice or tips that we may know... the list goes on. Anybody taking the NCLEX in the month of June, or even early July? Anybody freaking out like me??? "RN" is so close I can almost taste it! Ahhhhhh!

I'm waiting for my ATT still too! I graduated 5/11 and I have been studying since the 5/14!

I've been doing about 150 practice questions a day from Kaplan and Uworld. I'm super nervous about the NCLEX and I'm hoping to pass in 75. In aiming to take mine June 12th or 14th (depending if it's available by the time I get my ATT). Best of luck to everyone! We passed through Nursing school, this is just one more exam we have to get through! We can do this!

I did the virtual ATI review and got the green light. I tested today and the Pearson Vue trick shows the "good pop-up". I won't know my official result until next week but I am hopeful. About half of my cohort has tested and passed and we all used ATI as it was a capstone requirement for us. ATI was very useful for content review and practice questions. The final predictor for green light was 180 questions and was the closest to nclex in my opinion as far as question/content type so I strongly recommend taking that predictor prior to testing.

My school basically crammed ATI down our throats in our last semester. The dean called each of us into her office and personally told us that if we took the NCLEX before we got the green light and failed she'd skin us alive :roflmao: I scheduled before I got the green light but I did all the remediation/reviews and did so well on all my assessments and the Predictor that I'm sure my coach would give it to me if she weren't gone for the holiday weekend.

I scheduled my nclex mid June have been doing uworld on and off since late March. Averaged 61% finished the whole test bank. Still have the 2 self assessment tests to complete. How is everyone studying the last few weeks? Feel like I've been spending too much time reviewing content and not enough time doing questions...

Hii! June 5 here!! I love this idea!!

June 19th here. Have a job lined up to start in July, assuming I pass of course. My average on Uworld is a 69 but I've been scoring in the 70s the past couple months and I'm almost done with all the questions. I plan on resetting my questions then doing the second assessment 2 weeks before my exam. I wish I hadn't taken summer classes for my BSN because that's eating up a lot of time... I haven't had time to review content because of this class plus the 50 questions I've been doing each day. Ugh

I don't see a thread for May (naturally, seeing as it's almost over) so I'll sneak in here ;) I was going to schedule mine for June, but I got my ATT late last week and scheduled it for the day after Memorial Day! I'm the kind of person who does poorly the longer I wait to take a test because I get so anxious and end up wasting a lot of time on ineffective studying because my testing anxiety causes me to lose focus.

I am very excited to be done with studying for this test, I have been doing the virtual ATI review non-stop since I graduated in mid-May. I've been getting very strong scores on the review and I got an 80% score and a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX after taking my Predictor today. I'm just going to do some questions on a couple of areas that I still feel foggy on today and tomorrow, then kick back and relax on Memorial Day! I'm hoping to make a celebratory post by the end of the week with my results!!

I also am taking my NCLEX the day after memorial day. Best of luck to us! I'll be looking forward to our posts about passing!!

Taking it June 5, exactly one month after graduation. Eek!!! I purchased UWorld and the Prioritization, Delegation & Assignment book (LaCherity, 3rd edition). I also have the Saunders book my friend gave me to just review certain areas that I'm weak in. Started studying May 18, averaging 85 practice questions per day and I'm feeling pretty good about it! I have a job lined up on an ICU step down unit that I'm supposed to start on July 16th. Best of luck to everyone taking it soon!

I am also taking the NCLEX in June. I've been using uworld and kaplan. I got an 80% on the first uworld predictor and a 70% on Kaplan Readiness. Trying to do around 100 questions a day right now, but it's hard with full time work. I've also been reviewing through the Kaplan book they gave us through school. I'm starting to really stress!

I'm also working full time while studying for this thing, so I feel you! I'm taking my first UWorld predictor tomorrow, and the second one a week from tomorrow. My school didn't give us a Kaplan book, but they did give us an ATI book, and I dabble in that a bit, though I primarily use Saunders. It feels like I'm gonna be stressed for the rest of my life lol, but we got this!!

I'm considering getting the PDA book for the last couple of weeks of studying, but I haven't decided yet. Do you recommend it?

Send some of that confidence my way haha. I feel like I'm never gonna be prepared to my standards! Good luck!!

Could you possibly please send those audios to my email? [email protected]

Yes!! I'll send this to you tonight!

As for how I'm studying, I am taking my first assessment tomorrow (2 weeks before my test), and I'm taking the second assessment a week from then, which ends up being one week before my test. I've dedicated every day to studying specific topics/body systems. This week I have two days of studying psych, two days of pediatrics, and two days of maternity. After my second assessment, I'm just gonna bang out as many questions as I can. My UWorld should be all used up by then, but I'm going to just redo some that I have flagged/got wrong; I also have two books of questions, and I'll look into another test bank if anything. NCLEX Mastery has an NCLEX simulator for $15 I believe which looks appealing.
