NCLEX July 2018

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

I decided to start this thread for anyone who is taking their NCLEX in July 2018. I just received my ATT & scheduled for the middle of July giving me about 5 1/2 weeks to study.

Feel free to share any study tips/tricks, what you're using to study (UWorld, Kaplan, ATI, etc), and ask any questions! I'll be using ATI & UWorld.

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats! How exciting! I pray I pass when my time comes.

Thank you I think you have given me hope that I am on the right path... I went to my school website and had an official copy of my transcript sent to the BON so I am hoping that when I call them tomorrow it will show up. I've been so stressed! I landed an ER residency program and it seems like such a great opportunity I'd hate to lose it.

Absolutely! Nobody told me I could do that until I found out myself. It's better to just do things yourself because nobody will work as hard for you! Definitely follow up--and once they know your name things tend to move faster :)

Also make sure to pick the earliest day you want but if there aren't any available dates take what you can get! Make sure to click "reschedule" and you can frequently check if any dates open without committing to changing. There's a cancel button on the bottom left and just click that if none of the dates available work for you. I changed my date 3 times and just kept moving it closer until I got the date I wanted!

I am currently on hold with the MDBON... it's been an hour. I don't have to go to work til 5 so I can hold as long as they make me. But is this normal? Probably backlog from the holiday I'm guessing. Or is it normal to be on hold this long?

Update: Just got home from taking the test. Computer shut off at 75 questions (25 SATA, 0 EKGs, no math, 2 put in order questions, no hot spot) in about an hour & 15 minutes. I did the PVT & got the good pop up! I'm hoping its accurate like everyone has been saying but only time will tell.

UWorld DEFINITELY over prepared me! The NCLEX was a lot more general than UWorld & a bit easier in my opinion, even though I did not feel completely confident in any of my answers.

My advice, go in confident that you've done the necessary amount of studying needed for the test & don't let whether you felt confident or not about the previous question affect your mindset towards questions moving forward. Good luck to everyone!!!

I just took mine this morning I have the Pop up that says another registration can't be made at this time

I pass

Congrats! I'm still waiting for my ATT. I was on the phone with the MDBON for five hours! I hope to have something resolved by Monday my transcripts should be there by now so I am going in person.

I'm taking mine July 12. I used uworld as well. The nerves are definitely kicking in.

Quick results made it official today! After taking the 75 question practice test on uworld my anxiety almost completely disappeard. Reminding myself of my school's pass rate & the fact that most people pass on their first try also helped!

Congrats! If you don't mind sharing, what were your scores on uworld like?

Thank you! I didn't finish all of the questions, I had about 800 left. Overall I scored 55.2% which is in the 53rd percentile. My scores ranged anywhere from the mid 40's to 75%. I took the self assessment 3 days before the test & scored 61.3% which put me in the 69th percentile with a "very high" chance of passing.

My test shut off at 75 but I cannot stop thinking about whether or not something went wrong. My second to last question was priority and my last was SATA. I honestly think I blacked out of most of the exam but I remember there being a good number of priority but I only clearly remember one delegation question. Is that bad? Did I completely mess up or would I not have been getting priority questions if I wasn't above the passing line? This waiting is killing me! I'm too scared to do the PVT in case it's wrong!

My last questions sound like yours...also shut off at 75, but I'm not sure its because I completely bombed it ((( I studied every single day for 2 months, went through uworld twice, lacharity, saunders, but on the actual exam I wasn't sure in any of my answers. Most of the questions were sata, with quite a few delegation/prioritization towards the end. I don't know what to think, I'm absolutely devastated as the exam was not at all what I expected it to be.
