NCLEX July 2018

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!

I decided to start this thread for anyone who is taking their NCLEX in July 2018. I just received my ATT & scheduled for the middle of July giving me about 5 1/2 weeks to study.

Feel free to share any study tips/tricks, what you're using to study (UWorld, Kaplan, ATI, etc), and ask any questions! I'll be using ATI & UWorld.

Good luck to everyone!

I used kaplan not Uworld but honestly I think if you're doing pretty consistent on the practice exams they're pretty similar. I found it was fairly straight forward and not as confusing as some practices which made me feel a lot better while taking it

HI! I am an LPN and took my NCLEX-PN in 2014. I got 85 questions and it shut off and I passed! I just graduated from an ASN program for RN and I am a ball of nerves! I take my NCLEX-RN Friday the 6th and I have been doing UWORLD. I am a single mom of two kids and have had so many stressors in my life recently and have been lackadaisical with the studying. I purchased the 2,000 questions with UWORLD and have done 1,000 of them so far in between work, kids and daily life. I always score above the average on my quizzes with UWORLD, but sometimes just slightly above (I average like high 50's to mid 60's and some low 70's). Currently, I am in the "84th percentile" with UWORLD. I am not sure what this means.... does it mean I have an 84% chance of passing? I am new to UWORLD so I am not sure. I also have a 3 day live ATI review through my school and was provided the book and online materials. I score anywhere from 56% to 73.3% on those exams. I have been getting alot of prioritization questions, like "who do you see first" and things like that. I will take any insight offered and will post feedback after Friday. Fingers crossed and good luck everyone!

Hi everyone!,

I graduated my BSN program May 12th 2018, but my school made us finish the Virtual ATI and get the "green light" from our coach before being able to schedule the exam. I test July 12th, and i've been using UWORLD, and have about 1000 questions done right now. I'm praying for everyone on this thread! We will be RN's!! Will keep you guys posted :)

Hey!

actually took the NCLEX today and oh man was that an experience. Currently waiting on results and trying to hold myself from choking with all this anxiety lol. I used Uworld starting June 04th and had my Nclex july 2nd. I tried to do as many questions I could and really digest the rationales. The rationales on uworld are AMAZING. I took notes on things I really wanted to remember and made sure to mark question I wanted to review again.

At first i worked topic to topic, but started realizing I wouldn't have time to work through them all. So i started doing multiple area tests, ex. per and maternity together, mental health leadership together. The last week before the test I did randomized tests with all topic areas and reviewed my notes. I didn't purchase assessments cause money was tight but I used that as a means to gauge my readiness. I wish I could have though. All in all, i completed about 1200 questions out of 2100.

I was a nervous wreck and although i should have waited I did the pvt and got the good pop up, so Im praying I pass the second round of scoring. Best of luck to you all! study labs and really work on priority!!

Hi!:) I am scheduled to retake the NCLEX on July 10 and I have about 800 questions left to answer on UWORLD. I also use Kaplan and Saunders 6th edition. I am getting nervous and excited at the same time!

I am hoping and praying that all of us would pass the NCLEX!:)

Hey all! I just took mine on the 2nd and got the "good pop up" 24 hours before and after the test (I'm nuts and keep checking). Results are due tomorrow, but I've heard you can check your BON, mine is PA and they aren't up yet - that is, if I did pass. Definitely unsure of myself as I had 90 questions total 30+ SATA, no maternity/PEDs, no cardiac rhythms, a few pharm...my test was comprised of mostly priority, delegation and disease precautions.

Good luck to you all!!

My test shut off at 75 but I cannot stop thinking about whether or not something went wrong. My second to last question was priority and my last was SATA. I honestly think I blacked out of most of the exam but I remember there being a good number of priority but I only clearly remember one delegation question. Is that bad? Did I completely mess up or would I not have been getting priority questions if I wasn't above the passing line? This waiting is killing me! I'm too scared to do the PVT in case it's wrong!

I passed!! Whew those were a long 48 hours of me second guessing myself!! I do have to say that the exam was much easier than I expected and I was nervous that I found some questions easy. I was looking for bolded key words throughout to see if I was above the passing line. "Most" "important" "immediately" "first" stuff like that every once in a while to help reassure myself

Hi everyone! I also took my NCLEX on July 3rd and am anxiously awaiting my results! I tried the pvt an hour after taking it and again today and got the good pop up both times but my nerves are killing me. I had a lot of priority, 2 pictures, one cardiac strip, a lot of maternity 2 mental health and a lot of disease process, I also had about 20 SATA and ended on that. Good luck to all of you who are awaiting your results, congrats to those that have passed and keep studying for everyone waiting to test!!

Hi!

I am anxious about getting my ATT. I graduated June 22nd and my new job starts July 23rd and they say if I don't do my NCLEX by then, my offer will be rescinded (understandable but stressful). I was hoping there was leeway with my start date but there isn't. Nervously waiting for my ATT and doing UWorld like crazy so that I can be ready as soon as I get the notice!

Contact your school and see if there is an alternate way to send your transcript by yourself via email. I did this and there is a third party my school used to send official transcripts. I put in the BON's email after calling for an update on my ATT. After having it emailed, I followed up once it said it was delivered to make sure they received it. Once they had, I had my ATT the next day. Stay on top of it and definitely take it into your own hands! Something must have happened with my school trying to send transcripts. They either got lost in the mail or something but within 1 day of emailing it, I was all set to register!

Thank you I think you have given me hope that I am on the right path... I went to my school website and had an official copy of my transcript sent to the BON so I am hoping that when I call them tomorrow it will show up. I've been so stressed! I landed an ER residency program and it seems like such a great opportunity I'd hate to lose it.
